It would be better if they could separate the two. Treat each thing entirely different. However, it seems they don't and still cater to PvP. Why would anyone who plays PvE want two primary weapons and everything else put into Heavy? Why would anyone who plays PvE want supers reduced in effectiveness and made into roaming supers with reduced customization? Etc. Maybe if they went all the way with PvP(dedicated servers, ranked comp playlist, etc.) it wouldn't be all that bad as it could be marketed as more of a PvP game, but PvE is what is mostly pushed. I don't know. It's sort of always been a mess with Bungie and the handling of PvE/PvP.

You can gain supers easier in pve than pvp, im sure there are ways to easily chain abilities and orbs to get grenades and supers faster. Even as a pvp player i know I'll enjoy destiny 2 with this loadout system. Makes me feel like im actually fighting something instead of it just being "Ok snipers for this part" or "Well rockets are the only thing that do anything here" id love to fight something like Golgoroth or Atheon without needing to completely rely on my power weapons
