If you almost cried over a forced in "moment" you had with your moble inventory, you'd need therapy after having a comrade like Dom or Chopper (though to a lesser extent)
I'd add in Sargent Johnson, but all I could think of was "ooo, laser" as he died.
You know, priorities.

Why you do dis 2 me? Y u make me cri?
-
-blam!- you I loved that character so much.

His character really gave power to the "brothers to the end" theme.

Sergeant Johnson's nostrils always kill that part for me. Lol the graphics are so bad and his nose just looks like it's filled with mud
sry
I remember watching that scene and tearing up. My wife thought I was nuts.
-
You're not nuts. She's all he had left to live for, so he fought tooth and nail to follow any lead that might get him closer to her. He'd already lost his children. And after losing her, the only thing that held him together was the thought of getting to be together as a family again when his time came. Didn't think he'd go out the way he did, but once he got to his family's tombstones, you could tell he didn't plan on leaving. I think that scene actually got me the most. The sincerity of his apology for not bringing Maria's body back. The way he tries to put a positive spin on her death and nervously change the subject as the weight of sorrow and pain visibly grows on him. All topped off by him leaving the most significant thing he had with him around the neck of her grave stone.

Right!? Thanks! It was a very moving moment, arguably one of the most I've experienced in a video game. That's why I'm excited for Gears 4. The gears franchise had a story that had an emotional draw to it. Seeing them bring Marcus back, even if it's just a cutscene, will be awesome.
-
Dude I didn't need to relive that moment. Why did you post that video.
-
It's a key moment of emotional connection and character development. Dom spent so long looking for her, pushing through so many dead ends and lost leads. He was driven by more than just a need to find her; he loved her, and it shows. And though the scene is uncomfortable, it flows in all the right ways.
-
Yes, gears had great writers. Character development was so good. Another that made me shed a tear was when Dom died... Emotional for sure

Well atleast the carmine brother is still alive
