The Collection Upgrade discount disappeared from XBOX store
I have TTK for both 360 and XOne as well.
There was a discounted collection upgrade available in the XBOX store, but now it has disappeared.
Bungie says here, that the upgrade will be available till 01.31.17

But it doesn't say anything about a discounted price...
Will the discount return, or did I just miss it? (-45% compared to "normal" preoder)

1 Antworteni was able to buy it just fine. don't know when all this started but i can say this:be patient as it might just be a bug in the xbox store...again...(i got mine when i got my xboxone on the 12th of this august.) the only problem i have right now/thing i HOPE they bring back to purchase n the xbox store is the Collector's edition digital content upgrade.it says " it is unavailable at this time". reason:there was a bug that ppl exploited with the postmaster that gave the items from this content for free. microsoft quickly reacted and took down the option to buy it at this time until they /bungie can fix it thus leaving the people who actually pay for dlc out of luck for the time being while 3/4ths of the tower & vestian outpost is littered with the exploiters strutting around with collector's items like its some big thing still.

There are a lot of problems with this, i have my own post about this problem. I haven't checked yet but the conversations i had with microsoft were really terrible. Every employe gave a fundamental different answer and kept saying to go to bungie with it, where bungie said got to microsoft. I hope it out of the store because they are fixing the problem. Just wait and bump posts about this problem on the microsoft support forum.

Even though there are some issues with the new Xbox store, I suspect the answer may be a little simpler tho in your case. You mentioned you own TTK on both XB360 and XB1. The discounted pricetag was for people that had TTK on XB360 and were upgrading to the XB1 version. Since it also detects your account has it for XB1 already, it is not offering the XB360 upgrade bundle. You would need to buy the full bundle. I have it on both as well and it won't offer me the XB360 version as an option because it will use your XB1 stats and details as first priority in the store. The discounted price was supposed to be a way for people who only had XB360 to upgrade since it also meant you were spending money on an XB1, not for XB1 users to get a cheaper option to get everything. The special pricing would have been arranged with MS and Sony for legacy users to help bolster console sales. That being said - if you already have TTK etc on XB1, you should be just buying the ROI expansion, not The Collection? If you are looking for the XB360 Upgrade bundle on a new XB1, you would have to buy it through the XB1 console and hope it only detects the 360 version on your account.

I never saw the discount price, but I also just got an Xbox One and was following the Bungie online instructions to purchase that bundle now and play the current content, with the Rise of Iron content being available after 9/20. But in the store the upgrade says it can't be purchased until 9/19 at 8:00 pm. All I want to do is upgrade like they are forcing me to do and now I can't do that either!! I only got the One just for this game; I really don't play anything else.

I think I can explain. That discounted version that was supposed to be $40? A lot of people couldn't buy it because it said coming soon. I've spoken to Microsoft support multiple times and they always told me that I was supposed to be able to buy it as well but couldn't for some reason. They then told me that there was a glitch in the system. Most likely, Microsoft removed the discount upgrade for now until they can fix this problem where people are unable to buy it.
