What I don't understand is how people will go out and buy a new phone every year, or spend $300.00 on a pair of shoes but won't buy a new console. So your old console still works fine? I can accept that. So do all 4 of mine. I still have 2 xbox1s though, and will be buying 2 more after the new hardware comes out. If you're younger than 16 and don't have the money go ask your neighbors if they'll pay you to trim their trees, mow the grass, wash their cars, anything to get that money. I was making a few hundred dollars a month doing simple crap like this when I was younger. To the rest of you. You have 3 months which is a whole $25 a week to save. Buckle down and save that money. Or go mow some yards yourself. How bad do you want to play? How bad?

I actually buy shoes for 200-300 but hear me out I buy new Jordan's for 200-250 I resell them a week later to some guy who didn't get to buy them because the store ran out for 300-500 Repeat again next time a new shoe is released Morale of the story is never stop grinding you can make stupid money from basically anything

What you don't understand is bills. How people work every day and can still not afford to pay for things other people consider basic necessities. Keeping a roof over your head and food in your kid's mouths comes first. Some of these people may have saved for months just to be able afford last gen. They aren't buying $300 shoes, or new phones ever. Not everyone was born with the privilege of wealth, or even the privilege of opportunity that comes with white skin. I'm not saying bungie or anyone else should support last gen forever. I'm just saying that real life is very different than the bubble you live in.

Race is inherently present in any discussion where money is involved. Minorities get the job less often when competing with non-minorities and they make less per hour when they are hired. I can go do farm labor and start at $10 an hour, while the guy next to me has worked there 2 years and only making $8.50 an hour. The only difference is the color of our skin.

That's the case everywhere. Regardless of the color of skin the minority has. At least according to the sociology textbooks gathering dust in my room. If an employer can get labor for cheaper from someone, they will do so. Skin color is just a convenient way to gauge what you can get away with. That's the ugly side of capitalism. It's still the best system we've got though.

Lol, I can't get either shoes, or a new phone. I've had this $40 android phone for two years now, and I'll probably have it for another two years before I can get another one, and I'm wearing $70 leather boots that I'll be wearing until they break apart which will be at least three years from now. I'm just poor. I managed to get a PS3 in 2012 for my birthday when things were better for my family. They didn't baby me, I was in high school and I was helping my all the time with shit. And I got Destiny when I got a small amount back from my college financial aid. So I'm lucky to even have Destiny and a PS3. I live out in the boonies, I can only find work when someone is hiring at a business, which I haven't got a call for a job interview yet. Bottom line, not all of us can get new phones, games, and other new things all the time like most people do.

The struggle you're having now will give you the drive to be great. I was where you are 20 years ago and through hard work and perseverance I've done very well in life. Never give up. Something tells me you'll have a new console soon enough. You seam sincere enough that something good will happen. Keep your head up guardian.
