They won't add it because you would end up with this strike fiasco, where half the time you get nothing but people going afk. You'll also have people who are barely at level for the activity, don't know the mechanics or just leave after one try. I'm thankful it's not in game.

If you dont want it dont use it. Should be no issue for you.

That statement does nothing to fix chronic problems found in mm groups. Even if I personally don't use them doesn't mean I'm wrong that there will be way too many constant problems. Then those ppl will be on here again screaming how bungie screwed them over and purposely sabatoged mm and put them with idiots blah blah blah. This place resembles a day care center too often imo

I have a large group of friends, yet we never run kf because its too difficult to get 6 on same schedule to play. I am sure many more would raid if matchmaking was available. Used to raid a lot, but vog and crota were fast.
-
Why not use the app? It's probably a better group
-
I have never had these supposed problems with match made strikes after a year+ of playing So in summary, I call BS on this argument
-
How often have your randoms used a mic in those strikes? I figure not many. And afk is a chronic problem in strikes. It may only be for 30 seconds, but when you can't talk to them, what do you do? In a strike you just go on and do what u can. But in a raid, lots of times you just can't.

Bearbeitet von Noble Six: 5/15/2016 10:15:42 PMBut that is beside the point you are using match made strikes as a problem as evidence, but I don't agree that there is any real problem with match made strikes. Now a larger issue, which is just my opinion, is I don't like activities that require mics personally, I simply don't want to be talking to 8-year olds, or drunks to play the game, I just want to play it for fun in my limited free time. I guess that's not what Bungie designed the raids to be originally. But a 6-person PVE activity doesn't need to be designed that way. I like that now since April update, raids are less required to get to the end game level gear. I hope they make very clear what the experience of Destiny 2 is going to be geared too. If it is more "you have to earn your epic friends online to compete this super intricate jumping maze boss immunity insta-kill zone" then no thanks. Just let me kill aliens with fun weapons.

Bearbeitet von daveg35: 5/15/2016 11:25:40 PMI don't think there is a problem with mm in strikes either. But raids are a lot different than strikes. I'd expect them to be in destiny 2. They have been well received I believe. You are missing out if you don't do kings fall!

Bearbeitet von B0ngSaburr_Batul: 5/14/2016 1:17:42 AMA vote to kick option would fix that. There are ways around every single argument against endgame matchmaking. Imo bungo is just too lazy to implement it properly. Maybe for desticle 2.
-
But the arguments against all have their own problems, every single thing you can think of to punish bad teammates will have a way around it. Your overall bias makes your reply to this irrelevant.
-
My overall bias? To what? Lol good job explaining what you mean though. Like how would you get around a vote to kick option? What are the other problems that would make optional endgame matchmaking game breaking?
-
Maybe it could be used to troll ppl at the last second when killing a boss? But I agree something would have to be put in there
-
Not to mention the epic trolling you would get from some Joe Rando who gets his jollies popping a bubble when Oryx is in his last stand phase and you can't kick because it's matchmaking.
-
What % of players do you imagine trying to troll versus trying to win in order to get gear? The number of people that "troll" iron banner or heroic strikes is really really small.

Bearbeitet von Wings Fan 85: 5/14/2016 1:40:43 AMStrikes are a different story. You can two man or solo virtually any strike (even nightfalls) with enough skill and patience. The raids you need at least four or five people to be playing on the up and up and depending on what section you're doing even if you can work around an afk everything can be undone by one act of sabotage and you'll never complete it. Edit: As for what % of players I expect to troll I'm not sure but I suspect it would be high enough to ruin a lot of people's raid experiences through forced matchmaking and swear off raiding without a full premade team. Not to mention what happens if someone gets error coded from the raid and matchmaking throws in a rando.
-
Well my "raid experience" is already ruined by not having match making, and the terrible experiences with the LFG process, let alone you're still with a bunch of random ppl from LFG.
-
You have no control in matchmaking though and no way to kick someone if needed. That alone is enough to stop matchmaking for raids. Lfg may be a hassle but at least you can kick the idiots until you find the right teammates to complete the raid.
