Let's face it. Bungie will NEVER add endgame matchmaking into Destiny.
They've finally given LFG themselves on the companion app, but they won't add the matchmaking we've wanted ever since.
It's the one thing they will stand by, and I don't think anyone is ever going to change that.
I don't know why they won't add it, but no matter what we say, nothing will ever change their minds.
On a side note, thank God they gave us LFG themselves.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von SXF Infinity: 5/16/2016 12:44:16 AMMatchmaking in raids would be like throwing a bunch of inexperienced guardians into a blender, grinding then for about 15 minutes then throwing the concoction at the wall and hoping for the love of god that it sticks
-
Of course they want. Any one of us progressing in this game doesnt help them at all. Endgame matchmaking would only serve to help US, not them. Every thing is designed to better the house, simple as that.

3 AntwortenNightfalls would work considering how relatively simple they are. CoE would probably be ok overall. Raid matchmaking would be a nightmare. You'd have the light level issue, mic vs. no mic, right blend of classes, adequate weapon load outs, checkpoints vs fresh, connection quality, experience levels and needing people to play certain roles. Some of this could be addressed with filters or advanced programming but it is not a simple "add matchmaking" solution based on how Destiny is set up. LFG honestly seems like the best set up for raids. At best, I could see them adding in Destiny 2 an in game lobby/search system but using a phone is easy enough.

Matchmade teams suck, have you ever played Crucible? The moment something goes wrong half the team is out.
-
Endgame matchmaking would be a nightmare. You'll have a few people leaving after the first wipe, a few more going afk, and then the rest would have no clue what to do
-
I'm honestly very glad.
-
I bet they'll do it to spite you.

Aww, don't say never!

-blam!- Yeahhhhhhhhhhh

6 AntwortenBecause it takes someone longer to find a group than in game matchmaking, thus more time played across more players making bungie/destiny look better . Also it potentially means more downloads/users on their app which again makes bungie look better.

Where's caboose?! WHERE IS HE FRECKLES?

1 AntwortenWe can change it by not playing them

1 AntwortenHonestly...there's more failures then decent players out there... Matchmaking would probably fail most of the time
-
1 AntwortenI don't think they are capable of it. Maybe checkpoints/leadership gets in the way?
-
3 Antwortenwe will never get elemental primaries again either because they were helpful.
-
1 AntwortenLooks like they're starting a trend, anything that helps the player, they either tweak it, remove it, or don't implement it in the game.

Good, having used matchmaking in the division I can honestly say bungie have come up with the best method. It forces people into using a mic, try to actually imagine a matchmade raid for a second, it doesn't go well does it? If you've ever been at the court of oryx for thalnok week you will understand, no communication makes teamwork a difficult process. So Thankyou bungie for sticking to your guns and knowing that you were right and that lfg is the only way to go for this game.
-
They should include it in coe, definitely. Raids? Maybe with some form of sbmm. Anyone with a brain knows that matching into a raid without reqs isn't going to be fun.
-
B.net/App is a sister company of Bungie, they won't take away a reason to use it, if they get a new guardian, they get a new user, twitch/Twitter follower...ect... Imo...

Im tired of going in the app. It doesnt have to be triditional matchmaking at least have us go into lobbies with requests for what type of player we are looking for and then have them join from there. I hate navigating thru PlayStation crappy os to get a raid team going. And when u add someone on ps they show up in you destiny fl like 5 min later smh
-
Unless they do some major changes to matchmaking, I hope you're right that they'll NEVER add any for endgame. The existing activities with matchmaking are bad enough. At least with LFG, you can screen your teammates ahead of time.

2 AntwortenWhere is this lgf you speak of on the companion app
-
2 AntwortenThe app is easy enough, I dont see any problem with the way it is now. Most who have gaming systems also have a pc, tablet or smartphone anyways.
-
18 AntwortenThey won't add it because you would end up with this strike fiasco, where half the time you get nothing but people going afk. You'll also have people who are barely at level for the activity, don't know the mechanics or just leave after one try. I'm thankful it's not in game.

It's definitely a step in the right direction in my opinion. I think it's better to improve and utilize the tools that we have (like the #Recruitment forum) instead of trying to change how the matchmaking works. I definitely prefer getting on a semi-personal level with the people I'm playing with, and possibly spending an hour or more on a raid.
