Intuitive Proofs, Demonstrable Reasons: Why The Earth Is Flat
Pt 3
Ok, This one is just plain obvious guys. The universe cannot be expanding as the Empirical Occult (science) claims. If space were expanding earth should be getting stretched away from all other bodies: sun, moon, planets. The distance between each should be exponentially growing. You can prove this yourself with an experiment so simple that even Stephen Hawking would get it.
Step 1: Get a marker and an uninflated balloon
Step 2: Draw two points on your balloon, say, half an inch apart. (make sure to measure! That way the Empirical Occult can't claim your experiment wasn't "controlled" The priests (scientists) hate it when people practice their faith outside of sacred spaces (labs))
Step 3: Blow the balloon up. Tie. Now. measure the distance between the two points and compare it to your initial measurement. The distance will have grown.
Same as what should be happening with the universe. BUT ITS NOT. Sun and earth are in the same place. Conclusion? The universe is fundamentally different from what Empirical Occultism claims.
The soldiers of truth and reason of the Flat Earth Society have drawn the sword, and ere another generation has been educated and grown to maturity, will have forced the usurpers to abdicate. Like the decayed and crumbling trees of an ancient forest, rent and shattered by wind and storm, the hypothetical philosophies, which have hitherto cumbered the civilized world, are unable to resist the elements of experimental and logical criticism; and sooner or later must succumb to their assaults. The axe is uplifted for a final stroke - it is about to fall upon the primitive sphere of the earth, and the blow will surely “cut the cumberer down!”
Once again, an all out 8/8 post. Keep at it

Bearbeitet von BraveTheCoward: 5/1/2016 3:00:13 AMWhy don't we drift away? We move with the sun. We remain in the same elliptical orbit of the sun because of it's gravity. If the sun moves, we move too. Also. The universe has been expanding since the creation of earth. So wouldn't we have realized that by now? We know the moon is moving away, So wouldn't we have noticed if the earth was?

Oh, you're back? Awesome. You're one of my favorite Offtopic people. You're not annoying like Numa Numa or a dick like Ghost4201990, you're just genuinely good and funny comedy. I love it! Keep up the good work, man! ;)

Gravity is stronger at closer distances. The expansion of the universe isn't going to do shit against a solar system.

1 AntwortenBased on the responses to your threads. I dub you with the best bait on offtopic.

Bearbeitet von Lucanatic: 4/30/2016 5:10:31 PMThis doesn't happen because the universe is not a balloon, it is more of a flat plane, imagine a plate on a table, in which the plate keeps expanding and expanding. And, on top of that, they are moving apart.

3 AntwortenA) We aren't on the "surface" of the universe. B) Galaxies are moving away from eachother.
#3 busted, what else you got.....I haven't seen #2 yet but I'll be sure to bust that as soon as I see it
Seriously mate, you are incredibly easy to disprove

Bearbeitet von The Researcher: 4/30/2016 2:41:59 PMThe universe is expanding and they are moving apart!

Further distances expand faster than shorter ones. In the overall scheme, the distance between earth and the sun is virtually zero

4 AntwortenFun fact, this guys actually right. Space is expanding by about 74.3km per second per megaparsec. Now a megaparsec is about 3 million light years. The sun is about 8 light minutes away from earth. If you do the math, you find the space between the Earth and Sun is expanding at about a rate of 5.8x10^-12 km per second. In better units, that's 18.2 cm per year!
the more you know!
That does happen theoretically, it's not exactly proven though. And with how much space there is, it would barely affect earth

I need my daily dose of flat earth to truly call off-topic insane

3 AntwortenAnother argument about distance
First I'm wondering if you understand circumnavigation in terms of a flat earth. So if we were on a flat then earth traveling east will take you around the north pole in a circle. That is true for round earth theory and flat earth theory. The "supposed" equator on the round earth theory is where it would take the longest to circumnavigate the earth. Or where it would take the longest to run around the north pole in a circle. Where the longest distance it would take to circumnavigate the earth in a flat earth theory is Antarctica. Because on a flat earth Antarctica is the very edge of the circle. Why is it then that it takes longer to circle around, or circumnavigate around the where flat earth theory defines the equator than it takes to circumnavigate further south? For example, wouldn't flat earth theory define that it takes much longer to travel from the southern end of South America to the southern end of Africa while continously keeping East direction than it would take if you went from the equator in South America to Africa also in an eastern fashion? What does flat earthers say to explain the phenomenon of it taking less time to cover what a flat earther perceive as a greater distance?
3 AntwortenApparently the expansion is speeding up. But the sun and earth will stay about the same distance it think, we're not the centre and on the cosmic scale we're right next to each other. I'm more interested in what exactly the universe is expanding into

Well, you're not wrong. I mean, your evidence is not how it works, but whatever. Nobody really knows how the universe truly works. Anyone who says they do is pulling it out of their asses. It's all just theory right now, if not outright hypotheses. At least it was something different this time, aye?

7 AntwortenWhose to say the universe expands like a balloon anyways? Maybe the edges just expand outwards and everything contained inside stays the same, mmmmm? Mine is just as viable as yours, because mine is also just words.

Bearbeitet von Deum: 4/29/2016 7:47:05 PMIt is but the universe is so ridiculously massive we cant measure it. Imagine if the space in between the two dots was 1 atom wide You wouldnt be able to see the distance.
