I want it gone. It was useful in the time where communication could take months, but it is no longer useful. It alters our votes and can sway elections as a result (Bush vs Gore for instance). Because of where I live, my vote NEVER matters. Our elections should be strictly popularity votes, to lessen the possibility of rigged elections.

Precisely, but that is not all. Who you vote for in relation to those around matter as well. If we take the 2008 election. I voted for Obama, but 93% of the district voted for McCain. Thus, the electoral delegate for our area voted for McCain, but the 7% that voted for Obama had our votes literally tossed by the wayside. I don't think it truly represents the people anymore and has become a thing of corruption in this day and age. They redraw voting districts as they please in a way that might benefit one party over another. That is not a good voting system.
