Have you tangled with boomers at Totems? Have you faced the Warpriest or Golgoroth? Do you have a Black Spindle? Have you done the kill Knights strategy or faced the Shade of Oryx in the Kings Fall Raid? All these encounters work best with snipers which means special ammo is critical.

I have done the whole raid and I used to run out of ammo during the totems just use your primary

Primary doesn't work effectively on Totem boomers, Warpriest, Golgoroth or light eaters.

ToM with 11 in the mag and a chance to kill yourself if you take one to many shots and get hit by an acolyte/thrall?? That is not an [b]effective[/b] alternative.

Ahh yes, then I agree. Except for those on plate duty, but 1k Stare is better for Light Eaters or dealing damage to the Shade of Oryx.

Here is a simple strategy, using SCOUT, RAID SNIPER (COZ OF COCOON!) and CHAIN GUN (COZ OF COCOON!) First shoot 4 shots raid sniper, switch to chain gun, switch to scount, switch back to sniper, switch ! No reloading coz you have cooon. You sound like a total helpless NOOB ! And if you prefer still playing with your spindle no problem, works the same ! Its not hard at all ! Its your lack of creativity dealing with change ! Raid weapon might be shite, but you can use it with cocoon as a strategy if your not comfortable just shooting head shots, its probably doing more damage like this. If you are, like allready stated, you can use a spindle and the same two weapons. Or you can use raid sniper with a sleeper simulant... EVER TRIED IT ??? I did a couple of times and OUT DPS-ed everyone on my team ! They had either max spindles or 1000 ys (yes I know that doesnt work anymore) But that shows that this does work ! You still have to manually reload the Sleeper of course. Raid weapons might not be best, but the cocoon perk makes it a good option for certain bosses like Golgoroth and Archon priest !

But like most noobs you probably never tried ;-) Where do I state you cant use a blink spindle ? Yes I'm well aware how cocoon works and like most veteran raiders I make good use of it. But an HMG is not going to kill a boomer effectively at range. Scout rifles don't do as much damage to WP or Golg as a Black Spindle when hitting your crits. A scout rifle isn't going to down a sprinting Light Eater in 2 shots. You're the noob douche bag! Get with the program -blam!-tard. Most vets don't like the changes in ammo carrying capacity for a reason. We're now having to go look for the shit way more than we used to. Reduced capacity and no change in drops means less ammo. Math!

thank you..... people call me a noob because the ammo nerf has made this more of a grind..... instead of 24 shots into warpries and finishing him at the start of second round we now have 18 shots which is only viable with 2 x sniper carrying armour loadouts..... it just stinks to be frank

One shot from the spindle and he's down before he even gets a shot off. You also made an assumption about the OP saying: "If you only make kills with sniper". He never said that he's just asking what people think about the new ammo capacity changes. Then you open your big mouth with assumptions basically calling him out. I defended him because I agree that the change in PVE is asinine. If you wonder why I or other vets think this why don't you start with looking at the results of the poll above or listening to people in your fire team. Ammo drops by killing enemies noob. It's not based on what you use to kill them. So no, the ammo drop rate has not gone up significantly. No one in this thread has ever said they only use a sniper. Stop trying to get everyone to adopt your weapon meta! Yes I have a sleeper and yes I've tried it. I don't prefer it since heavy is harder to come by, you have to reload it no matter what and you can potentially kill yourself with it. And yes I do use a ToM because I do over 5700 dmg per shot with a ROF of 52 no reloads and no loss of ammo. That's why many vets use it. You can use whatever you want in my fire team but if you aren't getting the job done you're gone. And now so are you.... /muted

supers amd arc sword with hung jury and explosive rounds mixed with a sniper which can only be used sparingly because of a lack of ammo... if you can't see the fact it's made it into more of a grind then you need to stay out them titan bubbles coz you're going blind
