April Update and Patience and Time
So,
Like many players I was both excited to see Patience and Time coming back, as well as tuned into the PvP stream. For fun I pulled my Patience and Time out for some crucible, and realized that it's zoom distance is VERY far already!
So my question here is, how is this weapon going to be changed with the sniper tweaks in the April Update, if it all?
Anybody know if it is going to be touched by the tweaks?

The patch notes say specifically, "increase base zoom distance on sniper rifles that did not have optics enhancing scope nodes: Hereafter, Black Spindle, [b]Patience and Time[/b], Stillpiercer"
Thought I needed throw that in there, that's the point that is both vague, and seems a little scary for Patience and Time's already long-reaching zoom

It [i]used[/i] to lower the amount of zoom comparable to current-day Stillpiercer. Now they accidentally made Custom Optics give it [i]more[/i] zoom. It doesn't need that, even if intentional.

You can change the zoom with the optics perk in the middle tree. It makes it super low zoom.

2 AntwortenYeah lol, patience and time is like 20x or some stupid shit like that Patience and Time isn't that great for pvp anyway because of the scope glare, it's totally irrelevant that you go invisible while ads because you have a traffic light on your face screaming your location to everyone looking in that direction from every angle....but wow, you're off the map.....lol

Patch notes today said it's scope was going to be changed along with Black Spindle (aka snipers with no scope option tiers). So yes.

2 AntwortenThis might hint that ambush and shortgaze style scopes may be increased to 5+ zoom. That's all we know for now, no exact numbers. Hopefully custom optics won't be touched though.

It's being touched. I'm not sure if custom optics is being touched though. I think the scope without custom optics will change from 7x to 8x zoom, and with it will change from 5x to either 5.5x or 6x
