Xbox is reported to have sent an open invitation to Sony for some potential cross platform support on some titles. Are we going to finally be able to all play together??!?

This would be a dream come true..

Bearbeitet von Elephant Head Saphy: 3/14/2016 9:23:18 PMThe lag would be ridiculous. Especially with crap servers. But I do like the idea of cross platform gaming.

I would love it, I just don't know how a fps would work cross platform.
-
Yes please make this a thing

Ive said the same thing on other posts but here is my opinion. I don't like it. Both consoles and Pc run so much differently. Take a look a Batman Arkham Night. Ran great on console, but miserable on PC. I know Batman isn't multiplayer, but imagine if you went to raid and you had 2 players that on their console/PC the game ran terrible. It would be a terrible experience. Then you get LFG post that say PC players only or PS4 players only thus furthering the Console Wars. Thats one of the big issues i have with "Cross Network gaming".

If only. Problem is servers are connected to the main sony/Microsoft networks. They'd have to work together. Seems like a great idea but if you think about it...they're competitors so they will not work together. Basically makes you pick one or the other. Crappy but that's how life is

Destiny would be a huge improvement and even maybe boost sales by 10%. But its not happening, I'm pretty sure Rockstar would definitely find a way since everyone loves a good Grand theft auto game. And think how amazing it would be to experience such an amazing title with playstation players and xbox players.

PLEASE!!!!!

So far it's only rocket league. Microsoft would have to come out with support for mouse and keyboard to compete in the FPS world. I wonder though if Minecraft on console would finally support major mods...Sucks only playing some of the great mod packs on PC only.

Oh -blam!- that would be dope as -blam!- :) "Please pick destiny, please please pick destiny." I will beat a duck with my xbox and eat my NES with butter in melted cheese if they do that.

Sony better say yes

Finally! I can bring my kd up from destroying all the casuals in playstation.
-
If you're willing to give up exclusives for multi platform games then yeah
-
I've been saying that this should of been a thing for a while now. And this would definitely be a huge help to destiny since thier p2p connection system needs a large number of users in a region to function properly.

That would be dope

This is a true dream

Bearbeitet von Stupid Shinji: 3/14/2016 8:03:00 PMThis is a pipe dream. At most it will be arcade and third-party games. Aaa titles are known to have timed and console exclusives (ex. gear in destiny, dlc for call of duty and the division) so having servers that intermingle would make these things unfair and restricting for one console over the other. You would have to get developers and the people publishing the game to agree to eliminating exclusives. Then you have console exclusives, if all the sudden you could choose what console you want based on console and not the exclusive games it will get, that could end up being bad for either Sony or Microsoft.

Would be nice if Destiny 2 had PS4/XB cross servers and in game fire team lobbies.
-
if thats a fact, that just means the consul platform is dying.. not a good thing to get excited about
-
Maybe it would encourage more players to use game chat.

One big happy family
