A new epidemic

Year 1 players will remember how during the release of the House of Wolves, the crucible meta took a nosedive as it became dominated by three guns: The Last Word, Hawkmoon, and (worst of all) Thorn. As it stands right now, the meta is still pretty diverse, but a new problem is cropping up: The Doctrine of Passing. This gun, having the highest rate of fire and lowest impact of all auto rifles, is starting to become a new problem in the current meta, as it is ridiculously hard to counter. Don't get me wrong, it is not as bad as the Thorn used to be, but it has become the essential companion to a lot of snipers, starting to replace The Last Word for those who wish to use their heavy slot for another weapon, such as Truth. Additionally, Trials groups have started running two or three users per group, making them nearly unapproachable is some circumstances, as opposing teams are literally walking into a hail of bullets. I own one of these guns, and as much as I like it, I shouldn't be forced to use it one a given match starts devolving into a bullet-hose competition where everyone who wants any kind of a killstreak uses the auto rifle or gets blown away. As much fun as it is to use that gun, I just wanted to bring the alarming increase of its use to the forefront lest we have a new epidemic infest our meta. I like experimenting with guns (I'm currently getting used to my shiny new Suros DIS-47), and I'm sure others feel the same way. I don't want one gun to drown out the competition again. Thank you. Edit: After looking at the responses, I have two things to add: 1) Stop with the "get gud" garbage. All you are really saying is that you have no honor in combat and enjoy looking down at others though your nose. This comment is essentially a verbal t-bag that only depicts you as scrubs with no morals or sense of sportsmanship. Save yourself the humiliation and just knock it off, please. 2) I am not ranting/whining/complaining, I am stating my opinion on this. It is not fair to me, or other posters of similar topics, to make us out to be the villains. I have endeavored to be as humble as possible, and all I want is to bring this to people's attention before it becomes a bigger problem than it's starting to be. I have engaged in about 5-6 matches today, mostly rumble, and have run into an unhealthy amount of DoT users, with others switching to it (and in one case Aetheon's Epilogue) as the match progresses just to keep up. Yes, I did go into those with a NLB to train, and that does reflect on my K/D, yet that isn't the issue. This gun is beginning to create a rift between those that have it and those that don't, and while a few guns can keep up with it's TTK, users still have the advantage of using a different exotic (often truth). I have measured it's kill range, and it reaches a lot further than most would think (about to the middle pillar of the Mercury map), so even if bungie shortens the range just a tiny bit, the gun would remain viable without being overpowered. This may just be me, but I would rather bring this to attention while the problem is in it's infancy before it evolves into an elitist standard of requiring that gun to be good (the same way almost everyone had to run Thorn to keep up with others). I'm sorry that some of you feel like I'm some noob stepping on everyone's toes, but this is how I honestly feel.
