Turn left after spawning into the Tower, follow the stairs down and around to the left, and Xur should be on the right hand side of the open balcony area. As the developer has previously detailed, any Destiny players, new or old, will receive some special gifts in early 2016 as a thank you for their support. In order to earn some of those gifts, players will have to log in between a few days in early January, while others will drop for everyone.
