We must be playing a different game.
The sword kills most low level guys in one shot once it's leveled even into the 290's. Even majors typically go down after a few swings.
The block is the only defensive weapon move in the game and is extremely effective when used properly.
It is my go-to weapon in crucible, since it has a defensive capability and is capable of being used for a long period of time, killing people in seconds with a strike or two; the only exception to this being Osiris, where a rocket launcher is favorable since a few quick kills from a distance are more preferable to an extended power boost.

this conversation is focused on PvP so throw the PvE mess you talked about out. Now as for PvP I mentioned in my post that I was getting wiped out with that sword with supers and rockets\machine guns. Obviously I don't run out at people and expect to get kills. My KD ratio is a 1.10 which is in the top 38% of players in crucible. I struggled trying to get 25 kills with that weapon type. A lot of times I got killed just under a minute after I got heavy. The hunter blink strike is quicker than the sword. While yeah the sword is extremely powerful in terms of damage it's definitely not a viable option in crucible.

If you can't use a sword in crucible, you are not one of the top tier players. Light level and Grimoire illustrate that better than K/D in my opinion. Many players I know, including myself, do all sorts of dumb and suicidal things during the daily crucible of it's something they don't like. I don't think you read the entirety of my last comment. The sword is an incredibly effective weapon in PVP and is my go to... As well as many other people's. In regard to you dying... Stop running out and getting shot with a rocket launcher. That's going to kill you no matter what you have equipped. Making the sword stronger won't change that, either. Problem solved.

No Bueno Don't feel bad because I only have 29/6523 kills on my warlock = 0.00417%. So yeah how about them swords!!

Your breakdown doesn't factor In that I had maybe one ammo pickup for the sword every couple of games in average... And that's not even true because there were no year one swords. I do appreciate you researching me though.
