New Thoughts from the OP
To all the latest and greatest responses from the majority of the community that are opposed to what we are standing for, listen. Not every topic brought up, is one to be debated against. I do not mean that in a sense that either you are 100% right, or we are 100% right.
I mean that in a sense that, if we naturally feel a certain way about something, then we are entitled to those emotions and/or opinions that we create. Not every topic needs to be an argument. It's wise to adhere to "the other side of the story". But a million different debates can be created off of one simple topic of Microtransactions.
Me personally for example has played a game for over 10 years called "Runescape". I feel that, that is the greatest game I've ever played. They were originally against the thought of, getting an advantage in game from outside of the game. Whether it be "bots", purchasing currency or items from other players, and ofcourse selling exp if that ever became an option.
Eventually, new owners come in and change everything. Times has changed and microtransactions is a huge market in any game. Now players that dedicated many hours to the game, and worked very hard for what they have obtained see that almost any item can now be bought through a form of microtransaction.
A player of 500 hours played has what a player with 1000 hours played have, if they spent the right amount of money. I felt, there is no more pride in your gear. No more value. No more purpose if everyone has it.
"When everyone is special, no one will be."
- Syndrome, The incredibles. Lol
There is a beautiful side to microtransactions that many people can agree with. But for those who cannot agree with this, has signed, and will sign. To those saying it's only emotes, and that they have said they will not be selling starter packs and all of those loot dropping consumables, and that we are making a huge deal out of this, understand that... Some of us foresee the possible future of this system, and we feel that "that possible future" will completely ruin the game for us for whatever reason we may have.
This is similar to players not liking a specific update, and the "Mature" players in our community call these players "cry babies" or "salt bearers". Feel free to call us as you please, we both love and hate the game just as much as you do, we just have a disagreement on something. Don't try to force a certain way of thinking about this on us just because you see things otherwise. That's how wars start.
Sorry for all the text. I hope every single person here passing by has an amazing day/night. Feel free to sign if the original comment still pertains to you. If not, then let it be, because this is not a debate.

Bearbeitet von Cruistix: 10/16/2015 1:10:32 PMWhy do you need to gauge how many people will quit? Do you not believe strongly enough in your convictions to just quit should they choose to do what you're against? Or are you only going to quit (or say you are) because it's the cool thing to say right now? I'm not knocking you for your beliefs, but in no way should the actions of others dictate your response.... Stand up for what you believe, be ready to take action, but for God's sake, you sound like you're just a sheep when you say things like "I want to gauge how many people are going to quit" Quit dipping your toes in the water and jump in already

Signed. I will never play a p2w game. And it's a shame if it comes to that

This is a video game. Stop being concerned about what others spend their money on.
-
This is a forum. Stop being concerned about what I'm concerned about.
-
I am not concerned. This is a forum, where opinions are shared. You seem concerned. Worry about your real life instead of your virtual one.
-
Only if you do the same.

If they sell items that can help me skip some grind for money i'd play more. I dont get much time to play thanks to work so i'd be happy for it.
-
You should probably "deeply worry" about something that matters rather than a game.

If bungie releases any non-cosmetic items that affect gameplay in any way, shape, or form I'm done. I've been here since day 1 and absolutely love this game, but will not support a play-to-win game

Lol, nice typo

Signed I will quit even if it's something so unnoticeable like a more durable sparrow.

I can't get past all the misplaced commas in this post
-
Hey bud, I get it. Usually what authors do is have a few editors look at their work before publishing it officially. These forums is not a job to me, just writing the way I write. Im not perfect. I'm human just like you and I love people. If you're going to come here to criticize me about the way I write then man, that sucks heheh. The way I learned how to use a comma is, whenever you take a second to breath while explaining something, is when you insert a comma the way I just did twice. It prevents drag on sentences.
-
Didn't criticize you, just made a statement. I don't understand why you would need to take a breath when reading to yourself unless you always read aloud? You do you man.

I'd sign this a hundred times
