I'm just baffled it costs a shard to upgrade exotics.... each time....especially y1 ones. if I didn't already waste shards maxing them now I have to buy/roll them at 280/290 and buff them 2-3 times to get 300+. where am I supposed to get the 10 shards I need for weapon/armor/class item?

okay so this went off the rails, I'm just saying for the vast community of newcomers that bungie is trying to cater to don't have the amount materials at their disposal as veterans would. I took a 7 month break for studies abroad so I'm more or less in the same position as those who are relatively new. You aquire gear and max it much faster than you aquire the materials to level the skills.

Im buying legacy engrams and dismantling them
-
I have like 75 shards with nothing to use them on

It's been this way since the dark below. How does anyone not have extra exotic shards just hanging out in the vault or on a character at this point?

Bearbeitet von Sobieske: 9/30/2015 5:21:42 AMBy switching to ps4 from 360. Rip 90 shards and over 200 coins. Not to mention the 300 of every mat.... my god all my new nightstalkers gear takes freaking spinmetal no chest bonus's pr anything :/
-
Well that's your fault for switching. If you have gone from 360 to the one all your stuff would have carried over from what I know
-
No shit sherlock, but it wasnt solely my decision. I wanted an x1 very much so. But the ps4 deal was more appealing to the other two people with whom I'd be sharing the console.
-
Well you see here the problem is you need to aquire yourself employment then proceed to save whatever funds you can save and purchase yourself an xbox one. I used some tax return money 2 years ago to purchase mine and last year did the same to get a ps4.

Bearbeitet von Sobieske: 9/30/2015 5:36:33 AMYou see thats fine and well, but did you graduate 5 months ago and are helping your parents pay the bills until you get your shipout date for bootcamp? (Btw being only 18 and just graduated there arent many good paying jobs considering I can only work there for maximum of 7 more months.)
the good paying jobs in my area dont hire people who have to quit in just over half a year.
-
I only have a high school diploma and I'm making decent money right now with a career path to make more money than I currently do without college. As far as boot camp I applaud your service and commitment to serving in the military
-
It just makes it hard to get a job that pays both bills and hobbies :/ im glad you are on a career path, I would love to have the opportunity right now, but my real income will be after schooling and getting into the sub.

It helps if it's something you enjoy. Doing what I do isn't easy all the time but hell it's fun it's great being on water everyday, I always suggest a job in the maritime industry feels free and can always advance and become a captain where the real money in the field is
-
Haha yeah and good opportunities out there. Best of luck with your job dude, keep loving it.
