I couldn't possibly try to narrow it down to overall winners so I'll try and do it just for me.
Movie: The Force Awakens.
While this movie clearly has problems, it reignited in me a passion for Star Wars that had pretty much been dormant for a decade. I saw episode 3 in theaters in 2005 when I was only 9. When the Force Awakens came out in 2015 I was just really recovering from what I would call the worst year of my life and it made me feel like a child again.
Album: The Stories We Tell Ourselves by Nothing More.
I just love this album. Nothing More is probably my favorite band from the past few years and they finally started to gain some fame with this album. They got a grammy nomination for the song Go to War and that got them enough exposure that they opened for Breaking Benjamin and Five Finger Death Punch a year ago. I shelled out a lot of money to sit in the front row for that concert.
Game: Destiny.
This game had and has problems. Severe problems. Both games. But just like the Force Awakens I would be lying if I said I didn't love it. The Destiny franchise is easily my most played game of the decade. I thought that Runescape and Halo reach were close, they absolutely are not. Even combined they are dwarfed by my Destiny play time.

Seems like good enough reasons for a personal list!
