The fact you can require a minimum guardian rank in the in-game LFG says this whole commendation system was designed to make it easier for the elitists to gatekeep content
Isn't a problem for me , since I don't have any intentions of joining a group , but it really shows hypocritical Bungie is ,Tells people to try raids , but installs a system that is hostile to new players
That's why you missed sales by 45% Bungie,because you are so tone deaf and out of touch its not funny

It’s not really gate keeping though, those people can still find a different group and still create their own group for that activity. The commendation system isn’t designed for gate keeping I have no idea how far you had to reach for that conclusion. People were still getting taught raids and also blocked from certain groups with the old lfg system. Nothing has changed in that regard. If someone wants to raid then they still need to put in the effort to do one.
