You need to explain better why you feel 'forced' into PvP. You think people are saying that you suck, but I haven't seen that - I'm only seeing people asking you to clarify why you feel 'forced' and in lieu of an answer assuming that you're frustrated about the speed of your progression. That's my assumption as well.
In other words, you feel like you are forced into PvP because otherwise, you would not progress your power level as quickly, correct? If so, then that's your trade off for ignoring PvP, and it doesn't hurt you at all. It will take you a small amount longer to hit max power than others who enjoy PvP.
Short version: tell us why you are 'forced' into PvP. That's where your argument will be unraveled...

It hurts because it is slower. Actually, there is nothing since 540 that is increasing my power. I don't care if progression is slow. But if it is faster through PvP and people only allow me to join raids at 560, of course I am forced to play it. Aside of blind well (which is just an outdoor event that can be completed with randoms) and ascendant challenges, I could not find anything else I can do on a daily routine to level up other than PvP and Gambit. If I am wrong, which I could be, you are more than welcome to point me on the correct path to level up with PvE. And you just answered my initial post. The suck mentions to me filled with arrogance are in later posts. Thanks for been kind, seems weird to see this in this community which is everyday more CoD alike as well.

No problem bro. :) My best advice for a strictly PvE player in this slower progression period is just to chill out and run the activities you like - and make sure you pull at least one prime per session. Work on closing out some triumph stuff as an added incentive to play. After all, we all play because we enjoy playing. Just because it'll take you a little longer to max out doesn't mean you can't enjoy that journey. I don't always grab the PvP power grams and my titan is 570 right now. I've still never done an Ascendant Challenge because I don't like PvE content that kicks my ass (also hate butter-boot jump puzzles)... Just take your time and enjoy playing each week with friends who don't mind repeating the same challenges until you hit the next tier. Good luck man.

Edited by Whip1981: 10/16/2018 5:51:17 PMThis is by far the best advice I got... Thanks! I was already working on triumphs but I thought it was maybe a waste of time for leveling. If you tell me by just playing what I like in PvE I can level, because you got to 570 this way, then now I am sure is not a waste and will keep focusing on that. Thanks!

PVP isn't going to help you get to 560 (except for the daily and weekly challenge), theres only prime engrams that might drop, but you can get those in PVE. Start working on your second and third characters, pass over your high light guns. That will definitely speed up leveling.

Thanks mate, leveling alts is something I wasn't doing. Good point, will consider it!

Please watch leveling strategy guides, maybe youtube or read articles for the full breakdown. Get second guy to level 50, pass over guns, use tokens to help get armor to "catch up" to guns. Using vanguard and crucible tokens help with the armor quests. When your tokens don't help, do all daily challenges first, then weekly. If all armor is pretty even to guns, start on dreaming city stuff to gain large leaps in light. All done? do it again on guardian 3.

No kidding, after my titan & hunter hit 600 my poor lowly warlock was at 530 and jumper to 583 that day hahaha
-
Yeah, when I'm working on three guardians, theres enough for me to do without playing PVP, however, I'm going for the broadswoard and Lunas, so that's taking up tons of time.

Edited by Vegeta4101: 10/16/2018 5:28:37 PMBecause in this current leveling process, if he doesn't he will be missing out on some powerful engrams. I think that is what the OP is trying to get at. Again, not forced per say, but still pushed if you will if you're still grinding out some light. I can say i play both, but as soon as my titan and hunter hit 600 i stopped PVP instantly unless it's IB or something special.

Yeah, I think that's what everyone is assuming he means. But to complain that you're not hitting max power fast enough is just so... 'Toshi station to pick up some power converters' level of Luke Skywalker whiny BS... What is the big emergency from not completing every single power gram available every single week? I swear some people just want everything in the game right goddamn now - to hell with the consequences (vanilla D2)...

While i agree some what (also excellent example btw lol) It is because they tied some of the level progression in PVP that agitates some players. No one bought this game or D1 for that matter based on the PVP side at all lol So to dangle some prospective powerful gear that may bump ya to raid ready can feel kinda crappy to a lot of players. I know a swath of them personally. Just sucks either missing out because you sincerely dislike the aspect or just playing angry to get the gear. kinda a catch 22.

Exactly... Is obvious no one is putting a gun on my head, just retoric.
