Eh, you never know. I did strikes for a couple hours earlier on my warlock. I used a void heavy for one strike just to get a bounty done, but I switched back to a solar heavy before the strike was even half way over. I also used storm caller only because it's not leveled up like my other two subclasses are. I still managed to get done strikes within 5-15 minutes depending on which strike it was. I do understand your frustration though. It's even worse when your teammates believe they are by themselves and refuse to res you haha.
