Then he should just get the armor from the activity and not rely on the pass. The pass is just extra and not the sole way of earning things. Also as a collector I’ve had to come to the realization that I can’t get everything all the time. I’m no good at trials so I missed out on tons of gear. It bugs me but that’s how it is. When I said why do you care about other people I didn’t figure it was because you cared about people who “have” to pay. And again no one has to pay. It’s only if they want to. Also Luke stated complete armor set by rank 25

People that have no time have to pay if they want stuff from the pass, they need to because there is no other known way to get them. (How are people that have no time for the pass suddenly have time for raids?)

  • Raid armor and weapons won’t be in the pass anyway

  • Then I’m confused because my understanding of your brothers situation is that in 3 months he doesn’t even play destiny. Not enough to log in and do a couple runs of the new activity (raids are staying so he’s not time-gated on that) and get the rewards and get some season pass stuff. So if anything you should be glad there is a path for him to get the extra rewards “if he chooses”. If this option weren’t coming he would only have the choice of getting nothing. But now he has the choice to not pay and get nothing or pay and get what he missed out on. This is a

of course he has enough time to login and play for a couple of hours but this system forces him to use all of his time for destiny, although he might like to play other games as well. It‘s just like fortnite, forcing you to use your free time only on one game, which is a really scummy way of getting people to play the game. raids were just an example, i meant new activities in general I am supposed to be glad that he either has to invest all of his free time for destiny or he needs to pay for the cosmetics?

  • Well destiny is a hobby game. Nothing wrong with Bungie for leveraging that. Most mmos are a hobby game. And I do agree that the game needs to at least feel like it’s moving forward. So I’m hopeful for the new changes. Destiny is the only game I really play but when a game I really like comes out I suck it up and miss out on destiny or try to balance both. And can’t fault you or others for not liking that. So all I can say is happy trails to you if you decide to leave it or stay.

  • i think it is wrong to assume i and other are only going to invest time in destiny 2. If they keep it in i won’t be buying shadowkeep that‘s for sure.

  • so don't buy it. It's their game and they want to reward players for investing time. For example, in our internal team tests, playing strikes in a fairly relaxed manner (18 minutes per strike play time) with full stacks of bounties can get a Seasonal Rank in less than one hour. 100 hours in 3 months season isn't really that much. Some of you should stop complaining before the game is released. I'm gonna agree with you later if it turns out to be s^%&t, but let's play first and check how it works huh?

  • I complain because i care. How do you know how much time other people have, i have for example found out that my brother is occupied with school for farm more than 50h per week (if you count learning)
