There where ikelos haters? I mean its a pve weapon. Who on earth cares about what pve weapon other player uses?
Anyone bitching about pve nerfs needs to get medical help.

I’m pretty sure it was a nerf so you can’t melt gambit bosses in sub 5 seconds

You still can, although you have to actually play properly, and not ignore mechanics. Melting Point Titan Blade Barrage Thundercrash Code of the Commander/Aggressor When you get to the boss, send Sentinel to kill ads and destroy envoy shields. Once envoys are dead, wait for 3x stack which allows you to fend off any invaders before actually doing damage. Once the stacks are applied, melting point boss and the two other supers will do their thing, dealing extra high burst damage. Melt with EP or whatever else if needed. Pretty simple, but effective combo.

I was arguing with people all day about this .. They have a special place in hell reserved for them for ruining the ep shotty.. So many of these dipshits said they were left no choice but to use ikelos meanwhile the reality is we all have a choice on what to use in this game.. Ikelos was an unnecessary Nerf along with -blam!-ing ursa being nerfed I don't even have that gear yet on my titan and I'm pissed these -blam!-ing crybabies got that nerfed too... But god forbid they fix the one problem with novawarp killing through walls ... Or the bullshit with the slide shot perk on dust rock blues and a few other shotguns or telestos bolts -blam!-ing staying active for way longer than they should after these blueberries spam and area with it... Unreal

It was leaning toward gjally exclusivity, i.e. If you didnt have it you would be restricted from accessibility to teams on lfg, Bungies fault for limiting very powerful weapons to only a few options

Ahh yes the typical nonsensical response, Anyone can create a team yes you are right on that, point is you shouldnt have to there should be many viable builds. Personally I dont need a carry and I actually have the weapons in question (dont use LFG though due to the rampant douchebaggery), BUT many players are kicked or not allowed to join due to not having them so yes theres an issue and to dismiss it is just plain ignorance and your own opinion doesn't mean there isn't an issue.

Bit of an over exaggeration there, trust me it could have been worse they could have made it so the perk only lasted 1 round but you have 3, I know some people want easy mode but holy hell its getting ridiculous.

They could’ve doubled bosses hp. The gun will still shine above all other guns as it should. I don’t see how you think anything in this game can be even challenging when it comes to pve. Everything is easy mode, I guess some people are less skilled than others.

Could have doubled HP yes but that wouldn't fix anything probably just made the gun more sought for and used further reducing options to players. Not to mention the rampant 'Bullet Sponge' complaints that would follow. It is already easy mode yes I agree so to me those of lesser skill would tend to rely on easy mode guns aka IKELOS, and it still is quite powerful unless you forgot how to melee?

It wouldn’t fix anything because there was nothing fix. Ikelos shotgun wasn’t a problem to being with, it was a pve gun that didn’t need a nerf. Shooter looters need guns like this, or else the grind for new guns would be pointless if EVERYTHING WORKS THE SAME, same perks, same dps etc.

Not saying everything should work the same, but there should be more than a select few viable options for a loadout to be accepted into teams or at least to have similar DPS capability. The grind for new guns will also be pointless if they are not competitive or at least on par with other options. Why do you think we end up with nerfs? clear standout weapons are nerfed to make other options viable (and to satisfy cries for nerf regarding pvp)

Edited by SolarCerberuS: 11/29/2018 2:18:02 AMHow is it false? people have clearly stated they were refused a spot because they didnt have it, Its not a guaranteed drop its rng, some have done over 50 completions but still dont have it, I was lucky first ever EP and it dropped for me again thats rng I agree Nerfing PVE focused gear is pointless but come on the Ikelos shotty melts its fun and its great to melt bosses easily but probably not what Bungie want in their game, majority of it is too easy now already without strong weapons esp when in a team (one of the reasons I run solo)

Yeah its not restricted to the ikelos shotty, lunas, not forgotten have their fair share too, and telesto (personally there are better fusions to run)
