All you haters out there got Ikellos nerfed. Now the energy slot has one less option.

IKELOS_SG is still an option. It's still a VERY GOOD option. Using one melee to give an entire 8-round full-auto Shotgun mag bonus damage to cheese bosses was broken, and now it's fixed - it's still a 1-shot kill in PvP, and it's still awesome for Solar or burst damage in PvE, it's just less of a crutch. (Seriously, if a single gun spends 4 months at the top of the PvE meta, maybe it's time to give something else a shot.)

I'm certainly not happy. I was hoping to get it one day as the mid slot is basically a dead zone for me in PvE as far as legendaries go. Now I'm back to having no hope for that slot.

Trench Barrel is going to be a perk for more shotguns come BA, that’s why the nerf happened. I just wish they would do an overall damage reduction for the perks so I can use all 8 shots instead of the melee every 3 shots.

Were there people actually complaining about this gun? It did nothing for you in PvP any other shotgun wouldn't do, and it let you melt bosses. Who the f*ck has a problem with that? I mean, is there an actual group of dickbags out there that complained about getting through a boss encounter faster?! FFS people...

Honestly, it's more annoying more than anything else. I haven't noticed a huge change in my DPS, but it's just annoying to have to keep reactivating the perk every 3 shots.

You’re overreacting. I’ve been using it in strikes to see if it’s still good, and I’ll be damned because it still is! So what if you have to melee the enemy every 3 shots? You barely notice a difference.

If you actually bother to use it post nerf and learn the 3 shot rythym you will notice its barely been nerfed

6 RepliesThis post is a perfect example of how toxic this community can be. False narratives and blaming others. First correction: no one asked for an Ikelos nerf. Second correction: The change made to Trench Barrel is both a good thing and long overdue. I've enjoyed my EP shotty. Pre-Foresaken, I had one of each element. It has basically been a permanent fixture in all of my loadouts since I got my first one. I had incredible fun comboing melting point/tractor cannon debuff/trench barrel back in the day. I'm also happy this change has been made. It keeps EP Shotty strong but allows for other options, more varied loadouts. Trench Barrel broke the game.

8 RepliesNobody ask to nerf IKELOS SHOTGUN, this nerf was BUNGIE idea to make others weapons more relevant for DPS. It is a classical BUNGIE thought "this gun is too strong then nerf it" instead of thinking those guns are too weak we will buff them.
