I wonder if people can actually tell the difference between lagging and lag switching. People see a red bar and instantly say lag switch.

No, people see enemies blinking around control points, invincible to 4 shotgun shots to the face.

Lag can do that as well people eat my golden gun shots, snipers etc. They arnt lag switching though. I think I have only seen a handful of actual lag switchers. Who I reported and a few days later I got an email from bungie saying they have taken action. The reason bungie takes so long to ban these people is everyone is reporting people who arnt cheating.

If someone's lagging, they will still attempt to move and play normally. In my games, people went so far as dancing on capture point while we're all shooting at him. Really, have you seen the multiple posts telling people how to set your network settings so you can lagswitch? I've seen a handful on this forum, and on gamefaqs, and on neogaf etc. More people are doing this.

Ye that's a PlayStation problem though I play on Xbox so I can't comment on the mtu issues.
