The worst people are the ones claiming the G-horn nerf is due to LFG losers requiring it for an invite. That is more or less an urban legend. Bungie wants us to expand our horizons weapon wise. The horn has become like momma's titty. It's always there ready to lull you off to sleep with some milky wolfpack rounds. It's time to grow up and move on to solid food people.
Edit: yes I did read the post but I must have forgot about that detail. It seems that was indeed one of the reasons for the nerf. I think my original post was more a reflection of my own experience with the game and with LFG. I've used the site extensively and never seen or experienced anyone demanding the horn for any type of activity. Obviously this is something that happens/has happened. These people are morons, and should be avoided at all costs.
That being said, I still believe the primary reason for the nerf is my original analogy about mom's bewb. Regardless, I suspect the launcher is still going to be incredibly powerful and fun to use. Perhaps there will be something even more powerful and elusive come Taken King!

I have the same experience with LFG as you, I've even had people with Gallys join my fireteam. However, I'm not oblivious to the famed "must have max Gjallahorn" post either...

I would agree with you if DeeJ didn't specifically say that in the update. Did you read it?

Sadly for some of us that have never seen a ghorn until either very recently or not at all, we've been on solid foods for awhile and have grown quite bored of it lol. I'm okay with them trying to help out people but it sucks once you finally get it to see it nerphed. Sadly that's how most games like this "fix" their problems.

The people claiming Gjallarhorn was nerfed because of people requiring it to join their teams are people who actually read the statement written by Bungie. Sorry. It's not an urban legend.
What we did not intend, and what we unfortunately saw, was pick up Raid and Nightfall groups gating participation based on whether or not players had this weapon.
I'm sure they didn't just take the communities word for it. They have access to the forums and Reddit too.
