Trials is so bad that players are resorting to win trading and exploits, which has now gotten Trials cancelled--twice. OP kinda has a point. They need to either get rid of Trials, and put the rewards in regular competitive mode, or revamp it and make the rewards more accessible.

More loot needs to drop especially for the players that cant make it past 3 wins to incentivize them playing the mode. That's the only needed change

  • Exactly. Changing the reward structure in Trials so that less skilled players don't walk away empty-handed is the best thing they could do. Let players earn 2-3 Trials tokens on a loss, and 5 for a win. Whatever rewards are in the pool at the 3, 5, and 7 wins each week should also drop randomly at the end of Trials matches, whether you win or lose, and from the Trials engram when you turn in Tokens. To incentive trying for wins, the armor or weapon that you get when you reach 3,5, and 7 wins on your card should be fully Masterworked, and have curated perk and stat rolls, whereas the ones that drop randomly at the end of matches won't be. The perks on the Adept version of the weapons from going Flawless should be either Intrinsic, or should be a selectable second perk in the last slot, like how the weapons you could get out of the Umbral engrams a few seasons ago could. The armor should have an Adept version for Flawless as well, with an extra mod slot, and Trials/Crucible mods you can equip in that slot. The mods should have certain effects, like increased movement/weapon speed and Recovery when you're the last player alive on your team, or faster revive. They could even bring back some of the armor perks from D1 as mods, like the one that granted you a temporary speed boost when you respawned, or Angel of Mercy, which gave you a small amount of Super energy when you revived allies.
