Basically title. The game mode already had exclusivity for streamers and the best possible players getting far. The average players have resorted to win trading or jumping off the map until they get the bounty (because that’s honestly less painful than trying), or even paid carries/ twitch streamers auctioning off matches if you donate. It’s terrible.
Put the loot into the elimination game mode. Turn on higher drop chances for wins and call it a day. Still a little competitive but not as crazy competitive and annoying. Still uses the assets and armor they spent time into making. Much happier player base other than the .1 percent of try hards that will cry we got their loot easier whom no one cares about anyway. (Not suggesting you give us adept guns just regular. Adept guns could be put in as some sort of hard triumphs that take a while to complete if we want)

We do need change but this is not the way.

no that would be dumb

3 RepliesCould be made so that: 1 disconnect = 3 minute timeout 2nd disconnect = 1 hour 3rd = unable to participate in trials that week.

2 RepliesI suck at trials and this still seems like the worst idea concerning "fixing" trials. It's the epidamy of I want endgame stuff without playing the endgame. Let's put the raid armor in the strike loot pool whole we are at it.

3 RepliesEdited by Haunter: 3/14/2021 2:50:39 PM"Make the game easier for me cause I cant get it like everyone who did has" Why not just put all raid, exotic and trials loot into patrols? Did a VIP patrol? Heres one thousand voices, great job

16 RepliesEdited by BraddyBo: 3/14/2021 10:28:36 AMAll bungie has to do is lock join in progress to the character that disconnected, remove all exploited gear from players and implement a penalty for future win trading/boosting. Problem solved. Pretty much all developers either perma ban or reset the accounts of boosters/win traders, i dont understand why bungie is so lenient about it if they care enough to repeatedly disable trials because of it.
-
It's a lost cause because: 1) Bungie does not police their game 2) It's incredibly stingy. Both can be fixed. Reclaim weapons from cheaters on first offense then permanent ban for repeat offenders. Have non adept trials weapons and armor as random post game drops. Introduce optional matchmaking with a disclaimer that advises against it. And there you go. No need to scrap it.

2 RepliesOr make a new menagerie type activity that’s all desert like and trials themed and put the loot in there. Every few months add new rooms to it with new puzzles and new loot. PvP is dumb in this game and should be totally phased out and replaced with PvE stuff. More dungeons. More strikes. More raids. More focus on improving lost sectors and patrols and public events. And optional matchmaking for everything.

I never played a single game of trials. I deal with enough people everyday telling me I deserve to die for being bad. I’m fine with never getting loot from the playlist, because I know I’m doing the right thing for others sake.

8 RepliesJust been sent a screenshot of the Tweet from Trials Report Since trials is cancelled, we don't see any harm in releasing this anymore. So far this weekend: PC: 32,500 Lighthouse visitors - 10,465 without a kill (32%) Xbox: 4293 Lighthouse visitors - 1471 without a kill (39%) Playstation: 7296 Lighthouse visitors - 2741 without a kill (35%) Stadia: 621 Lighthouse visitors - 323 without a kill (54%) This is a truly broken format. It's time to call it a day

1 ReplyI mean... if the game weren’t F2P a lot of Trials/endgame problems would dissipate... just sayin.
Not that F2P means much anymore since it use to be fun to tell friends they got expansions and could keep to the story but now they enter confused, lost, and eager to leave.
14 RepliesBungie created a toxic competitive environment that almost perfectly resembles the broken economic and political system of the United States. I think it’s the one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed- ppl are saying **** this broken system, we will work together to get the loot. They are not cheating, they are not hurting anyone. They found a workaround where they don’t have to compete and hate each other to get the loot. BRAVO. What does Bungie do? After allowing the 1% to steamroll everyone else and the cheaters to wreak havoc/ after YEARS AND YEARS of that, they immediately cancel trials as soon as ppl begin to cooperate. Bungie likes to project being hip and all for equality, well they really need to reassess this whole situation. TLDR: From a gen x’er to the millennials- bravo for uniting and helping each other through a broken competitive system. To Bungie: shame on you for cancelling trials when ppl cooperate and not when cheaters and 1% turn it into a toxic dumpster fire.

Worst thing abnout Trials being cancelled is that all the Trails polayers go to normal Crucible and shit on the rest of us. It's real fun trying to do Bounties against teams with 3+ Revenants with Igneous Hammers (and some Adepts). On a good day I can get all 4 Bounties out in a single game; today it took 3 games to even get my Super ready before a mercy...

Late to the party

I actually agree with this, mostly because I'm sick of trials being disabled halfway through a weekend

1 ReplySo make the loot more accessible for cheaters?

2 RepliesIts end game for a reason. Please for the love of the traveler stop crying about trials. Its either A: get frickin better at the game?????. Or B: get carried. Me as a avarage pvp player still enjoy it because every loss is a lesson to get better. You dont see my crying about the raid. “ oOoOooOoOoOhHhH i cant get get a raid team just put raid loot in strikes “ for every good pvp player theres 3 Dredgen pve god’s. Strike a deal carry a player in a raid for a trials carry or idk. You guys r really just -blam!- about everything at this point. Sadly the destiny community has become a karen.

You're all such fing babies.

4 RepliesAs someone with the persepctive of playing both d1 and d2 trials at some point in my life, its not that trials needs to be retired. Its the simple fact that the loot gain from trials is so, not worth the effort to honestly fight for it. Dont get me wrong, i love how it looks and even went flawless for the sake of having the warlock helm as a gaurenteed drop, but thanks to seasons, sunsetting, and the overall, "hey, this is real nice loot, for 5 months", it makes the wilingness to actually commit to the game mode hearbreaking. Why throw yourselves into the rages of old d1 with trials when the loot at the end wont be useful in the coming year. Yes, i know they are undoing sunsetting, but the damage has been done, especially now that the game has gone FTP for everything besides season/dlc content, people can just throw their anger to the wind and win/trade or cheat for the victory just to simply, delete their banned account, and go again. If they wanted to fix it, they shouldnt have picked up the FTP model and should make people spend the intial $60 (less now of course) that we all did starting out. That way, people who actually will play the game will play, and those that want to cheat for victory, will out themselves hundreds of dollars as their accounts get banned again and again

2 RepliesLet's put the loot in elimination You need a certain about of wins to get certain loot If you lose you have to restart your streak Let's also reward players who don't lose for a certain amount of games in a row Wait a minute....
-
-
Nah, just sunset it like they did trials of the 9 and leave the loot out of the pool.
