Oh I think I get it. Yea, it definitely would hold if it was toasted. But it might depend on how thick the bottom piece is sliced if it wasnt supported by crust. Either way, 2 hands can support the glory of any sandwich.

See, that's what I think. It wouldn't be too messy, apart from toast crumbs, but some pastrami, lettuce and Mayonnaise would definitely hold on it and not cause it to flop. All the ingredients I've mentioned are wet and heavy, which adheres to the rules, so I do think it would be top shelf sandwich.
