Grandmaster excisions, which come out next reset, will get you the class items too I think. Not technically solo but it's match made so it's the next best thing.
That being said, if finding a teammate/using a mic is an issue I would be down to help you out. As long as you're able to hear me or text chat then we can get it done easy

Yeah, no matchmaking for that version and the class items are not in it. The way to obtain them is you are required to do the mission at least once and then you can either do it again or have a "rare" chance of it dropping from chests where Bungie's version of rare in my experience is equal to almost never.

I've gotten one chest drop so far. And I was very much looking forward to the increased challenge of the best mission Destiny has ever given us, but not happening now. I'm probably going to start running dungeons and every other week or two I will get back to the seasonal content. We will see what happens on Thursday
