Why that and not a regular bow?
-
I’m not sure if Le Monarque is better than just a legendary bow. In my experience this last week though, it seemed to shut down overloads in the legendary lost sector and the corrupted nightfall, maybe because it’s void too? Not sure. Today is Tuesday however and I have not tried it yet this week. I’ll go try it out and carry a legendary too to see. Might check out a Loadout with leviathan breath too just for kicks.

Le Monarque does damage over time so 1 shot from it stuns a champion whereas it takes multiple shots from a regular bow.
Le Monarque does damage over time so 1 shot from it stuns a champion whereas it takes multiple shots from a regular bow.
No. It's one shot from any bow as long as it's fully drawn.

Takes 1 shot for a bow. All the burn from monarque/ticcu does is blocking their regen easily as it still counts as overload damage. Allowing you to have more time to damage the champion with another weapon. But normal bows are great if you wanna use an exotic heavy weapon/special

My Imperial Needle stuns in 1 shot. I heard DOTs heal overloads quicker

They’re probably saying that because they don’t know that you have to continuously hit them with overload to prevent them from Healing period.

What’s regular about it?
-
Why use Le Monarque for overload champions instead of a regular legendary bow
-
Because it does far more against them than a regular bow does. The damage over time prevents the healing and if you keep pouring it on they'll never heal and in some odd cases they don't even teleport.
-
I think you misread my question
-
I did, sorry Le Monarque is fantastic though Turns legendary void lossy sectors into a cake walk - try it if you have yet to
-
It’s more so like people wanna have fun not use a load out controlled buy bungie it’s like dang if you wanna play then you gotta do this or that smh

This. This exactly is my only and big issue with the whole Champions and seasonal mods thing going on. I am always like "ah, I feel like using Gun X today" .. "oh.. well no. Need gun y because champions". They should broaden the mods like they did with the fusion/linear fusion- scavenger mod this season. Like, give champion mods 2 or even 3 gun types as a choice instead of limit to one. Make this default and the choice of play will greatly benefit.

I agree seasonal mods, or losing ones you like is junk at times. But it is what it is and it’s not a terrible season for mods tbh, but I get your frustration.
