Ok solar melee not stunning overload neither is disrupting blade at times. This is frustrating to say the least. Please look into this as it does need a lot of attention. There teleport needs to be scaled way back

People who can’t stun overloads after two years is why we can’t have high end content

Working as intended 👍
https://youtu.be/HuwMnLpQWm8
Mask of Bakris plus overload Worldline Zero. Works every time. Also overload bow always procs unless champion is in cool down after recovery. But the suppress effect will persist to keep them from teleporting.

nothing like trying to melee something that can one hit you Love this community

Trinity ghoul with the mod and catalyst. Never see anyone running it, never see anyone outperforming me when I use it. Not only stuns the champion, but takes out everything around it in 1 shot!

1 ReplyI don't even use the overload mod anymore... with particle deconstruction and a fusion rifle/linear fusion, they go down after a couple zaps no issue.
-
You need multiple hits, but more to the point, why are you trying to get close to an Overload champion? Just use the bow mod, stun them in one charged shot, then linear fusion rifle their head off. Rinse, repeat, succeed.

Divinity and a lasting impressions rocket launcher. Thank me later 😋

Edited by GRAVEL: 9/22/2021 3:39:16 AMI really enjoyed the Jason Jones interview Luke Smith conducted at the reveal... They talked about 'the rules' the game exists within, the deck of cards we are building... Champions break all the established rules of the game. They can ceaselessly fire their weapons, heal, and use multiple abilities with little to no down time. Champions do not always behave as intended. They should 100 % be looked at a second or third time because, (at times), they break the game.

Edited by AxlofAstora: 9/21/2021 9:53:58 PMUse something more consistent then. Le monarch is the best for overload champions this season. It works on all overload champions. Biting winds with explosive head is pretty good too. Stasis can stun lock. Solar melees are just terrible. Stasis is way to go. Were you trying to stun an overload captain with a throwing knife?

Edited by GMDeece7: 9/21/2021 8:54:14 PMOverloads are in general VERY tricky to deal with. You can’t just stun it once and load EVERYTHING you have on it, especially in solo lost sectors (at least in most cases). You have to know when to unload and when to stop and quickly swap back to your overload weapon. You need to continually use overload shots on them, even after they’re stunned, so they can’t regain their health (overload shots prevent health regeneration to overloads, even when they’re not stunned). Missing overload shots is DEVASTATING , especially in solo lost sectors, where you have to time either a heavy or special weapon shots on the overload and quickly switch back to your overload weapon to prevent health regen. One key detail to mention: You absolutely need to reapply the overload shot BEFORE he’s stops being stunned, And continue to shoot him, until it’s dead or stunned again. Overloads have typically really powerful weapons or attacks, so being close to cover is essential, to continue dodging the overloads attacks and preventing health regen.

7 RepliesHaven't seen this post for a good while....... Disrupting blade takes 3 hits to proc you know that right? Solar / Stasis melee needs to be the actual charged ability btw.
-
2 RepliesYou literally just have to hit them with anti-overload mods. How is that difficult?

3 RepliesOverload swords require multiple consecutive strikes to "stun" a champion. Many bosses will either stomp kill you as you move in or teleport away and them beat the crap out of you. In the Astral Ascendent area, many time I killed it (they are "weak" as compared to NightFalls or Lost Sector) before I stunned it - which is nonsense. Stunning Overloads with Bows requires a precision hit and / Or an area Effect hit. I find that Legendary Bows with Explosive Heads or ones with area effect (i.e Ticuu burn, Monarque poison etc.) worked best for this. However it still gets screwed up and sometimes they Overloads will either not stun properly or will continually unstun and attack. I also hate the fact that many time,s they stun in a way that is somehow facing away form you too, making it even harder to stun them with a "head shot". Divinity works with in a team situation, but if your trying to do Solo, well that only works if your using those delayed impact "Lasting Impression" Rocket Launchers. Basically stun OverLoad ahole with Divinity, switch to Lasting Impression rocket launcher and shoot said ahole, then switch back to Divinity and continue stunning - weakening aHole while they hopefully die from double rocket explosion. On a side note, don't expect Lasting Impression rocket perk to play nice with the "Argent Ordnance" rocket mod. Unlike every other rocket launcher (including multi shot ones like Eyes of Tomorrow or Wardcliff Coil), Lasting Impression require 2 charges of light to get full damage. On initial impact, it will consume one charge of light and on the delayed explosion detonation it uses a second charge of light. So each shot consumes 2 charges of light, whereas with every other rocket launcher, it's one - regardless of how many missiles it shoots. Oh and "Argent Ordnance" does not work with Ascendancy's "Explosive Light" either.

Warlock solar melee (only the ranged version) stuns them fine. It just doesn’t disrupt like it’s supposed to.

I think this is a bug. Definitely needs fixing

5 RepliesOverload bow is awful, and there is 6 months to go,at least give us another option.

16 RepliesLe Monarque

2 RepliesBow then a 1k voice shot with particle deconstruction, goodnight Vienna
-
3 RepliesThe freeze effects cancelling the stun effects are my only real peeve with champions.
-
9 RepliesI think we need new developers that know how to create a challenge, that don't think spamming things like champions is being creative.
-
Champions are pretty straightforward. Never had an issue. Stun them, kill them. It isn't difficult at the proper power level and with the proper weapons.
-
I don't even worry about modes, besides particle deconstruction , just fusion rifle them to death. With the new fusion / linear mode it's easy as !
-
Just get rid of all overload and barriers. The absolute worst thing ever added to this game! A lazy concept to make the game harder, when all it does it make it mind numbing boring and annoying.

My throwing hammers never seem to have a problem. But, I mean, I've never had hammer problems.
