Correct- its called a purchase not a bet. And you cannot gain any further silver by spending that silver, you don't receive anything of actual value, therefore it is not gambling as you never placed a wager on anything, you simply bought a random item.

No, you don't understand my point. I'm not saying that this isn't technically a form of gambling because it is (even though it's not a big deal at all), I'm just pointing out a flaw in your argument.
