Nostalgia heals all the old problems from vanilla. There was nothing to do after you hit 20 except grind strikes. Then you raided, which everyone cheesed. The events were garbage and had broken loot and the quality wasn't there. You would wait for hours and hours on patrol just to get your damn ascendent materials. Vanilla was not better, it was borderline a beta and obviously hadn't been play tested well. The vanilla game was a disappointment and got way too grindy - year two has fixed so much of this with MORE things to do. Is it easier? Eh, a little. You still have to grind your ass off to get max level, same as before. But it has fixed so much in this game and has made a game I can actually recommend to people. Year 2 > Year 1.

  • Put down the crack pipe my friend. I agree with your take on Year One, but TTK certainly isn't worth the $40 price tag and the grind is worse than ever. At least in Year One there were beast tier weapons to hunt in order to make the grind worthwhile.

  • But the raid was actually hard. When i played this game still orx or however you spell his dam name was a piece of cake and the guns are all just shit. Except for touch of malice it's okay

  • Every raid starts out hard...and then becomes easy 1. VoG stayed harder, longer because the loot system was so terribly broken. They called it FOREVER 29 for a reason. You could run that raid for MONTHS and not get past the 25% jump in your ability to deal out and withstand damage. Simply because the raid REFUSED to drop any armor. I once went through 12 runs in the VoG with my warlock and an alternate and only got ONE piece of armor to show for all that work. 2. The progression system for TTK is more gradual....so you make smaller increases in power, but ones that are steadier and more reliable. Which is why this raid seemed to become eaiser, faster. When the fact is that Kings Fall has a LOT less margin for error than VoG. 3. The raid weapons from VoGs were ridiculously overpowered. The Mythoclast was a game-breaking joke in the Crucible...and the raid weapons crowded out all the other legendaries in the game. The KF raid weapons are very solid weapons, idealy suited FOR THE RAID. They are just not all-purpose god guns.

  • Oryx wasn't easy. Golgoroth really wasn't. It's easier because you know what to expect, that's all
