Do bounties to raise your vanguard rank, earn marks by completing ROC strikes.
Buy newer gear from your vanguard master.
Get a friend to carry you through the weekly and nightfall.

Im doing sooo many of the strikes, and im starting the crota bounties aswell as standard bounties so am hoping that helps aswell.

You mean eris bounties? Lol. And have you completed the Eris story yet? When you do you get a certain type of armor from her.

Yeah her i meant to put the missions to beat crota. Im up to a mission where got to destroy 25 thrall with solar light or something

Use your sunsinger class. Always use sunsinger. Void is only good for crucible. Do the eris story (the purple ones, lol) first so you know what to do for the other (white) bounties.
