I think he should, because even though it may be great to find one (notice how I didn't say earn, that's Destiny language, children) and that would be called a "Ghorn Moment" that everybody should have at some point, what if you would never have found a Gally before you quit? What if you never found Gally and were never able to do specific raids? And that is where Xûr comes in. You're bored, it's Friday, you go to Tower, and you find Xûr. You cross your fingers for that godly dream weapon that you have always wanted. You open his inventory, and you wait for the inventory to load. There it is, right in your face. You feel lucky that you have enough coins for it, and it so happens that that special gun is here, in his inventory. That's a true Gally Moment, the kind where you earn it. That is my reason.
