I just feel like a small over shield would make dodge hit the lane it needs to be in

Nah… it needs the Manticore treatment, 5-7 seconds of less enemy accuracy and aggro. Like the anti-taunt treatment barricade got. A complete refund of another ability without is too much and has been since it released.

I like the idea. But my over shield I mentioned is only in the split second window of the dodge. It goes away once you're on your feet.

Get overshield by building into Class ability beyond 100 in EoF 🤷♂️

That's nice, but misses the point. Why should hunters have to be the ONLY class to spend points there just to get the base ability? If the rift didn't heal until you spec'd 70 points, would that be ok?

Why should Hunters get 3-4 effects for their Class ability for free while Warlocks and Titans get one? Dodge - break aim assist and either reloads or give some melee energy back (other effects require subclass choices or building) Barricade - drops an immovable cover that can draw enemy attention (other effects require subclass choices or building) Rift - drop a stationary area of healing or weapon boost (other effects require subclass choices or building) That’s really it. Warlocks and Titans have to build into class ability to get an overshield (or titans can build into it using void) I really don’t get this Hunter thing where all these effects should require no investment.

I don't play either of the two other classes because of personal time limits, life, family, etc. I do, however, believe you're over simplifying things a tad. As you point out, Dodge either reloads, or refunds energy. As to your aim assist, I can't speak to that as it's been nerfed so many times I don't know where it stands. I can say that I've never been able to dodge to prevent something from hitting me. Skill issue perhaps, but I know it's never happened. Barricade, as you point out does 2 things at a time. Shields you and draws attention. And in both other cases, these effects are available for the entire fireteam. Hunter effects are for themselves only. I'm not asking for zero investment, I'm asking for parity. If the other two classes require no point spec, why should the third. It's objectively not more powerful in a game that encourages co-op, fireteam play.

And this is where we diverge… I think the change IS the parity you’re talking about.

you’re right, but the forum users will try and crucify you for this😭
