I can barely keep up with the pace of this game which seemingly caters towards crackheads, young children, and professional gamers/streamers.
I have put in over 2k hours into playing destiny and at age 33 I am nearing the point where I have to call it quits.
I cannot deal with endlessly spawning adds, bosses with 14 million HP, and constant nerfs to the toolkit.
The more I attempt higher tier content the more I realize that I have been discriminated against by bungie for my age by them adding content that kills me faster than I can react or overwhelming me with endless adds wasting my time killing them and wasting my effort doing mechanics unable to do boss dps properly because ADDS KEEP -blam!- SPAWNING.
Soloing a dungeon should be possible for any average player who puts in the time and effort. But let’s say warlords ruin for example it will be impossible for 95% of the playerbase. This is poorly tuned content being sold to everyone as a $20 dungeon key.
If I wanted an impossible challenge, that should have been master difficulty solo. But normal itself is impossible enough as it is. As the playerbase shrinks and the game become less accessible and difficult, it is seeming that my best option will be to quit as the game will never be made to challenge me, only to destroy and outright embarrass me.
The players who the content is tuned for don’t even want to play the game anymore and are bored every moment they are online, you can see it in their eyes while they stream. Bungie are truly masters and professionals of alienating the newer playerbase and not allowing those players to transition to higher skill levels with well tuned content, to bungie everyone is datto, esoterickk, saltagreppo, etc. so we have to play something more difficult than the entirety of Elden ring to be considered a “paragon” in a dying game with a declining population.
The only power fantasy I am fulfilling as a 2 year player with over 2000 hours of playtime, is one of sadness, betrayal, and disappointment in that this game will continue to be -blam!- as long as bungie kisses streamer -blam!-.
I’m glad SONY laid off so many of your useless employees and I only hope they purge leadership too for such shitty decision making, and contempt over your playerbase that reaches back to your halo days.
Solo dungeons should be for everyone, not just streamers and people who play like a full-time job.
Shame on you bungie, I continue to be disappointed by your lack of respect for the the time, money, and love of the playerbase.

23 RespostasAlthough I do agree that some of the difficulty changes are silly, your particular complaints are dumb as hell. I'm 34 years old, and I'm at work 10+ hours a day. You don't need to solo a dungeon for anything relevant. Dungeon solo is of of the end game challenges that Bungie plans for with no real reward. If you're quitting the game because soloing a dungeon is to hard for you, then that's a you problem, not a game problem. If soloing a dungeon is too hard, just don't do it.
