Give me a good reason we need more Vault space that isn’t an excuse for hoarding junk

Variety prevents burnout, and different builds have different uses in game. If I have to explain this to you, you need a new game to play.
-
Because there is a lot of loot in this game
-
Too much loot some would say.
-
"That isn't an excuse for hoarding more junk"
-
Even if youre not hoarding, people who play multiple parts of the game can fill up real quick.
-
There are not 600 good guns, you don’t need 1 new set of armor for each build you have, you don’t need all the sunset weapons
-
Cool im glad to hear your perspective on that. Lots of people enjoy variety in their gameplay though.
-
What style of gameplay requires hoarding 600 guns
-
Well, considering how every gun feels extremely different, and how many weapons there are in the game, adding in all of the exotics, that starts to add up pretty quick. Especially considering how volatile the perk balancing is in this game.
-
If your full at 600, you're hoarding. No matter how much you play the game.
-
Thats just like.... your opinion bro. Lots of people seem to think otherwise though.
-
That's not an opinion. That's stating a fact. It's well known that hoarders like to deny their issue. Them saying otherwise is just them refusing to admit they have a problem
-
No its an opinion.
-
You can think it's an opinion all you want. You're part of the problem. It's okay, I believe with help and deleting you can get over your personal problems.
-
The fact that we're arguing about it makes it an opinion. But for people who play all parts of the game, 600 goes real fast, especially if you want any variety.
-
There's no argument here. I'm stating a fact and you're *trying* to argue your opinion. It's really just me shutting you down.
-
Thank you for bringing in your opinion. I would agree that filling 600 slots is hoarding as a "fact" if those 600 slots were 1 piece of each gear held from sunset till current, but the fact is you can fill the slots with current gear just as easily. I see you have 3 characters, and yes you can run many activities without changing the gear you wear, there is nothing wrong with the approach and prevents hoarding. However, say you join a fireteam doing Grandmasters, Raids, Dungeons, Gambit (i know gross), PVP, Iron Banner, or Trials. Ideally you should cater your gear not only to the activity but also those in your fire team for the best results. Are you hitting the proper burns and champion shields in a GM with your loadout? Are you hitting the proper DPS numbers to be effective? What super are you using to compliment the team? Same for Trials and Iron Banner. IF you truly dedicate to the endgame highly modded game, its very easy to hit 600 slots as you collect the rolls you need for all builds or situations in this wide world of a game.
-
You can make up all the long winded excuses you want. Even with endgame, if you're hitting 600, you're a hoarder and should start learning how to use the delete button.
-
Long winded excuses or simple reasoning, you can decide whether you agree with the reasoning or not. Just simply yelling "hoarder" and claiming it solves the issue is not a proper response if you have the ability to account for the details involved. Having a proper discussion of the events is what's required. So with that said about a discussion: (1) What do you do when you enter a Grand Master NF that requires specific burns and champion mods to be completed and you don't have the the weapon class for the mod with the proper burn with viable perks? (2) What do you do when Bungie changes the mods in the next season and suddenly the weapons you have are no longer viable for endgame activity and you already obtained weapons with perks that would have been viable but were forced to delete? (3) What do you do when you need to adjust your build to accommodate your fireteam members who don't play the game as much as you do for Dungeons and Raids? You can rely on your fireteam to carry you through it or try to bully your way through the activity while cursing and taking forever, but we both have enough experience to know it'll be much easier if you're properly prepared. (4) We also know you aren't winning a flawless trials ticket without proper perks on your weapons as well, that is unless you're being carried. You could get lucky though of course. At that point its not hoarding when Bungie is forcing variety and changes to the mods in every season. If you're holding onto sun set or unused gear that should be deleted as you said, and is not included in the reasoning provided.
-
Again, you can make up all the BS excuses you want to. You're hoarding. You don't need hundreds of builds for characters. You can hold 9 separate builds on you at all times ignoring the vault completely. Delete armor if you have more than 5 pieces. Delete any archetype that's craftable. Delete ANY weapon you haven't used in the last 2 seasons. You can let go. You can get help. You don't need others to change to fix you.

You can't reason with them. They only use 1 toon so it's much easier to maintain the little space they have.
-
Brother I have multiple builds with multiple weapons and exotics across all 3 of my characters and all the weapons I want and still I don't hit 600, I even have plenty of junk I need to clean out too and manage to maintain between 400-500/600, you gotta throw some stuff out.
-
My point was that most people i interact with on the subject use 1 toon everytime i check, as did this person i was commenting on. I never said i had a problem either. You have to factor in how long some people have been playing d2. Like myself some of us have golden age weaponry with perk combos this game will never see again. I do still use them from time to time in pvp. Sure there's allot of hoarders, but there's not enough space to go with the length of time this game has been actively running either.
-
Because they’re too lazy to delete -blam!- they’ll never use
