Seems to be a lot of negativity spiralling through the forums. Would be nice to see more positivity flowing through the forums.
Keen to know what brought you to D1 or D2? There have been many moments since D1 and D2 launched, what is your favourite memory and why?

1 ResponderEditado por Sunburn Seastar: 11/17/2023 11:15:38 PMMy favorite D1 memory was the first time my clan and I beat Wrath of The Machine. We had made it to the final boss and a lot of the fireteam had been killed and it was the last damage phase possible before the wipe, it was myself and another one of my teammates left and we were doing all the damage we could but it wasn’t enough. At the last second just before we were wiped my super reached full charge and I activated Radiance. Because I was using Heart of Praxis Fire and Fireborn radiance the downtime between the grenade spam was largely nonexistent; between my solar grenades and my teammates weapon firing we managed just enough damage to fell the boss and beat it! To this day it’s why Sunsinger has a special place in my heart and why I’m so excited for Song of Flame in final shape. D2 My favorite memory was my clan and I were doing a Last Wish run and we were at the rooms just before the elevator encounter, as soon as that door opened I popped Daybreak (bottom tree) and managed to rain fire down from above all the way to the elevator. I’m honestly not sure why that’s my favorite memory but it is. it’s also impart why I still don’t really care for Dawnblade, Daybreak still doesn’t feel right without super regen on kills and without the running fire impact tracking (I’m not sure how to phrase that).

1 ResponderWhat brought me to D2 and favorite moments. Thought D1 looked interesting, but was unsure of online multiplayer games, so I never tried it. Then D2 came out, decided to give it a try. Was probably the first FPS, that I was aware of, combining abilities + weapons, so that was intriguing to me. Favorite Moments: When I finally learned to use triple jump, so cliffs couldn’t defeat me anymore! When I learned that Warlocks could drift 1/2 across a map, so I could give that a try. More recently: When the exotic quest for Revision Zero (Seraph Shield )came out. I don’t always comprehend things well and it can be hard for me to figure out puzzles, in games. This quest was something as a solo gamer I could do. It had a good level of challenge, mixed with teaching moments. Like showing me how something in the game was going to work, then I could figure it out as I saw it later in the quest. The design, art/ graphics and location make it a really fun quest. Then in the end you get a decent craft-able exotic. Thanks for asking for positive feedback. 👍🙂

Nice topic brother! You know me very well so it's no surprise to you what i'm about to write lol. (Sorry if it's a bit off-topic) I grew up living with my mum, only staying with my dad for weekends and holidays every now and then as he worked off-shore. I have so many good memories of those weekends, mostly consisting of playing Halo 1-3 split-screen with my dad. It was scary, fun, exciting and very stressfull for a lil lad like myself back then but the memories struck. As i grew older i got into CoD and other shooters, til i suddenly one day saw the trailer for this game called Destiny and i immediately showed it to my friends and we all got soo hyped! It reminded me so much of Halo and my childhood just from watching the trailer and seeing the Titan in there, i HAD to get this game. I naturally got it on my PS3 back in the day, and i really haven't looked back since, logging about 6000 hours across both games. I remember my first raid experiences so well, and that i started to feel the urge to teach raids to friends so everyone could get a piece of the actual endgame of this game. Destiny 2; Best memory is not one, but a whole bunch of awesome evenings spent teaching raids to newer players alongside you @Dil.

2 RespostasEditado por Itcus: 11/17/2023 12:52:45 PMD1. First time King's fall raid. In D1 it felt SO BIG and ominous. Sadly D2 is a pale comparison. D2. First time Garden of Salvation raid. Coming over the hill to the final boss area and seeing the Black Garden spread out before us with all the stars in the sky above. Breathtaking.

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - antigo
Favourite D1 memory is probably first time playing the VoG raid. Close seconds would be Gjallarhorn dropping after a Crucible match. D2, would probably be completing the Leviathan raid and the ‘toast’ emote dropping after weeks of farming the (i think it was) spire of stars first encounter. -
D1. Getting the "Fakebringer" roll of Imago Loop after grinding the hell out of The Undying Mind.

2 RespostasNezarec Duo We aren't top tier players, but we managed to improve by ourselves, making our own little adjustments without consulting the internet beyond knowing to use Starfire. It was a journey, took us quite some time, was frustrating at times but we came up ahead.

Chasm of Screams. It was a great variant of the Savathun's Song strike that was the final step of the Thorn quest. Nothing was more satisfying at the time than helping people beat that mission and getting to see the excitement from guardians when they finally got Thorn for themselves.

D1 having gjallahorn drop and getting my Vex mythoclast to drop.
-
1 ResponderD1, when I solo'd the Archon Priest Nightfall, and finally got Gjallerhorn. After seeing my friends get hundreds of drops in every raid or other exotic sources, I finally got the drop. Xur sold it the next week of course.

Screaming my head off getting mythoclast on my first try as a level 29

Nice topic. D1 > Never Played D2 > Probably would break into a few parts -- (this is all jumbled into one) There was a time when that Journey song hit around time of just starting (I would play that offline and look for people doing versions.. one on Piano I remembered really digging).. probably playing Red War campaign as f2pNewLight when everything was brand new and those cutscenes with Gaul.. those were really well done.. unlocking planets and seeing who lived there (not knowing lore or anything just thought different aliens on dif planets).. and acquiring my 1st meaningful exotic at Cayde's hideout/stash? > Riskrunner. -- Finally able to hang in PVP. The first few times I went into crucible were horrible.. never wanted to try again. I was probably bored and decided to seriously give it a go after understanding a bit more on the weapons.. and it started clicking. The highest highs are making it through some engagements/situations that just come up randomly in PVP. -- Had bought Witchqueen/30th anniversary combo.. left and came back early fall and that left so much good content, story, weapons and events (IMHO) that it was just a feast. I think I finished Witch Queen story, season of Defiance and season of the Haunted (maybe my favorite season of all), skipped Plunder (saw reviews and weapons not interesting).. and played.. maybe finished Seraph. So many weapons to chase (in a span of ~ 5 months).. the season of Haunted area on the moon (the crashed leviathan with infected/horror vibes) even the emotional story stuff (at first I was like oh come on.. but these were meaningful well done.. yep even Crow/Zavala.. well voice acted).. >> just want to point out during this time everything even missions were simple/easy it was about the story for me.. being in the world (no raids/dungeons).. the weapons galore making grind totally fine and then PVP was the hard mode and some success in Trials during this time was great too... honestly never thought I would get Shayura, Messenger, Eye of Sol, Igneous, Forgiveness..etc.
