Id say certain HC. I would say all HC. If you go down that path I would say that the majority of weapons need their hitbox/aim assist nerfed some. You see more HC play because they come default most of the time with a vertical recoil pattern, which makes them easier to control while playing airborne. With cross play, lack of servers, and high ping in this game; they need to up the TTK time to give people the ability to actually get to cover. It's annoying when you get sniped or pulsed through a wall. They also need to do something about the amount of Xim/Cornus users on upper-level PvP on PC.

This is really not a good idea at all. Hand Cannons are some of the least forgiving, lowest range, mid-range weapons in the game. They absolutely do not need a ttk nerf, considering weapons like immortal can hit a 0.67s ttk while still pushing almost into hand cannon range. If anything hand cannons need to be buffed back to 150s considering their ttk goes out the window if you miss/hit a body shot. They can barely compete in the current sandbox, and weapons like abyss defiant and oversoul edict absolutely dominate in the 30 - 40 meter play area, which is where hand cannons are used in.

Sorry I meant all weapons in general should have an increase in TTK. Not just HC. Imo and on Pc, the “nerf” to smgs did nothing, they are still everywhere and have far too much range. With how fast/ape pc smgs will always be in range because people aping with them.

I agree. I think every weapon should have at least as 0.8 ttk, with the most forgiving weapons like autos and smgs having the slowest tttk.

I definitely think a nerf to hitboxes and controller aim assst would be beneficial to the game…. Then you do get a skill gap

Controller has reticle stick. MnK and Controller get same aim assist, as this is based on the weapon and weapon type. As an MnK player, I would agree reticle stick needs to be tuned down some. Higher endPvP has a bunch of xim/cronus users on Pc. There’s many things we wish they would do but they aren’t going to fix it.

Recticle stick is broken…. Controller players always pass it off as nothing … just a touch … but reality is it’s aiming for them

I agree it is broken. Trust me I will be the first to say that the reticle stick is broken and the flinch isnt balanced between inputs. If reticle stick was fair then you wouldn't see a huge level of Xim/Cornus players.

If bungie were brave they would bring it down quite a bit…. Imagine the controller community having to learn how to aim… the tears would be funny

Literally unending tempest and immortal and *cough* multi mach with iron reach *cough* reach hand cannons range, they can barely compete anymore. The only thing thats rlly good on them is keep away which is literally a broken perk on any weapon that plays outside of the range that keep away procs in. Hand cannons, snipers, auto rifles, pulses, scout rifles. It’s literally free range and reload, and turns hitboxes into trucks.

Nerf hitbox then buff in other areas then… It’s not the ttk with hand cannons….. they do so much damage per shot….

Yeah, that’s the point. They’re not forgiving at all, whereas stuff like smgs and autos can hit bodies or even miss altogether and it barely affect the ttk. What would you like them to do, nerf hand cannons so they can’t 3 tap?

They 100% already do. One could argue that they have big hitboxes and good aim assist, but in 140’s case, they have a slow-ish ttk and they still require 3 consecutive headshots, in a range where autos and pulses will obliterate you. And in a 120’s case, they have less aim assist and have a very slow ttk, and the only benefit is you can hit one body shot.

They have largest hitboxes in the game….the ttk on hand cannons has always been irrelevant…. They excel at peek shooting …. Playing cover you will always win against a gun that does 20 damage per shot The hitboxes on high burst damage weapons is too big they need to be less forgiving

Largest hitbox in the game is an exaggeration. And Hand cannons are dueling weapons and are not used for peek shooting very often. They don’t need a nerf.

So don’t complain when you get melted by a controller smg hitting optimal ttk if you don’t play cover

The other guy said it better. All weapons that can hit a optimal ttk (0.67s without any killed procced damage buff) need a nerf. Every weapon should have at least a 0.8 ttk, with the least forgiving weapons (hand cannons) having the fastest and the most forgiving weapons (autos, smgs) having the slowest. Hand cannons and other weapons also need to have actual designated ranges. For example, high impact pulses have long enough range, so hand cannons don’t have to fight them as much. But pretty much everything auto rifle is sitting at the exact same range as hand cannons, forcing fights with them, while retaining a faster ttk, and more forgiveness. Long range smgs, such as aggressives and precisions, also have very long range, most of the time allowing them to play aggressively and push almost into hand cannon range. Then, most hand cannons have to resort to backpedaling, as idiots with fast killing, forgiving, aggressive smg push in without a care in the world, because hand cannons will always lose that fight. That’s why hand cannons like Ace are so good, because it becomes ridiculously forgiving, allowing it to duel smgs and win.

I don’t expect you to understand, you’re using multimach. 1. The game doesn’t give you crits, even with 100 aim assist, it’s still difficult to hit 3 taps. 2. Smg rushing is 100% viable, if it wasn’t people wouldn’t be using them. 3. It shouldn’t take constant peek shooting just to fight someone with a close range weapon.
