No more Battlegrounds as Nightfall!
Nightfalls used to be my goto to waste time and grind out general chaos and fun builds. I used to hit prestige 10+ every season until now... I hate Battlegrounds for so many reasons and I refuse to run them as Nightfalls.
If you can't make new nightfalls (strikes)... bring back vaulted Nightfalls please! There are so many Strikes decaying in the content vault for no reason.

Moon nightfall is so bad. From the boring "protect ghost" to the hive seals. Just have proper strikes as the nightfall.

HATE the battleground so much. For GM's they just decided to throw in 6-9 champions in every room. Its lazy and just pisses me off. This week the entrance alone has like 5 barriers and 2 unstops. I hate when the battlegrounds are in the rotation. I normally just dont even bother

I don't care for them either. I do my 2 resets and guild conquer each season, but I don't touch the Vanguard Ops otherwise. They make it pretty apparent that they don't want to invest much back into the game.

1 ResponderThis is why I don't do Vanguard Playlists anymore. Bungie are too lazy to make new strikes and just shoved Battlegrounds which are too long and dull in comparison

2 RespostasI was pretty frustrated with the Moon one, couldn’t make it work….but I made the fatal error of thinking I could run the plow banner build that streamers are running. I switched to a more conservative build and took my time, wasn’t that bad. GM is all about survival, screw everything else.

1 ResponderAt this point, I don't care if they make BGs into NFs. If their idea of good game design is sitting in a hallway or corner and slowly picking off one guy, fine. Just so long as they accept that they'll be less played then other content. But they need to fix how easy it is to accidentally despawn Champions and ruin Platinum. It's ridiculous.

I heard if you try it on hero with matchmaking if people don't know its the moon one when they go in they leave. its way way too long. battlegrounds in general are lousy nightfalls. the one on mars was beyond horrible. it took some an hour to complete I think most know which one I am talking about . I like doing nightfalls but not the moon one which I believe was a battlegrounds.

Once you kill all the enemies of an area, that is it, you can actually breathe. Battlegrounds has enemies coming from the spawns nonstop. There is no waves, if you kill them all, they don't stop coming. The more enemies you kill the more there is.

Normal strikes aren't any different. 1st area, defend kill ads. 2nd area, defend kill ads 3rd area, kill boss.

Honestly don't get why they don't just take Battlegrounds out of strikes and make it its own playlist that rotates old seasonal loot for F2P players or players to catch up on missing red border weapons. Battlegrounds aren't necessarily bad content they are just being utilised badly.

I like having BGs as GMs as they can be pretty challenging and require some build diversity for your team (which can make or break some LFG teams before it starts). The only thing that I don’t like about them is that they ARE time-consuming. A regular GM strike could take under 20 mins if your team is coordinated enough. With BGs however, it will take at least 30+ mins to finish a run; 20-25+ if your REALLY cracked. That’s ridiculous, I’ll tell you. 😫

I want strikes only. No battleground of any type I don’t care. I think the o my middle ground can be two separate nightfall playlists per week and one is only strikes and the other only battlegrounds. Strikes are so much better and good content and battlegrounds are just glorified patrols, so boring

I actually enjoy bgs as nightfalls, I enjoy the challenge that they give, but I know most people don't. I'm all for bungie putting in more battlegrounds as seasonal activities, but there should not be so many as gms all at once. What would probably keep everyone happy, would be to make more strikes on the level of Lightblade or corrupted, but keep only the hardest battlegrounds
