Fashion isn't the end game of destiny though lol.
I get it and agree: once we get a piece of gear, it should unlock, but this is nothing to complain about nor say 'bad bungie'. Seriously, how many times do you actually change ornaments? I bet not that often. And definitely not often enough you need every piece of gear unlocked.
This is complaining just to complain about something.

My friend, you got it lucky then. I like to change up my armor to match my exotics and I like to mix up my gameplay with different exotics. If you’re content with using one exotic and one look then props to you, but that’s not everyone, same goes for my pov.
-
I don't use just 1 exotic nor play just 1 way though lol. You know why? The way I look doesn't determine how I play. I get it, you apparently like to change all the time, that's cool. I just disagree with calling bungie a bad dev over this.
-
When did I ever say they were a bad dev?
-
That's what your op is saying lol. How the system is outdated compared to x; how they make us grind to get y; how they charge to get extra weaves; etc. You're calling them a bad dev without saying it. And I disagree. Those other games don't have as many items as destiny. The grind isn't as hard as you trying to make it seem. You can pick and discard a bounty until you get 1 you feel like doing. Them trying to make extra money on something that's optional isn't an issue, it's optional. And it is a business for them, a hobby for us.
-
How old are you and how long have you been playing video games?
-
Why are you asking?
-
Because I’m curious. Most people who seem to defend this crap tend to be young because they’ve grown up with predatory monetization and therefore believe it’s acceptable
-
I see. Well, you're way off with me buddy lol. I'm 44, been gaming for 39/40 years. So I know about buying cartridges that cost 80-100; games having less content; games being broken; etc. Nice try at trying to dissect and do a deep dive psychological analysis. All you had to do was say you disagreed with me saying 'as long as it's optional, I'm cool' lol.
Those other games don't have as many items as destiny.
SWTOR would beg to Differ my friend. And its all Free. I can get a Currency in-Game to get the Best Looking Gear "Legacy Gear" and Convert it to Ornaments for no Extra Charge. And theres no Cap on how much you can Transmog either. IMHO, Bungie doesn't just have bad Devs, they also have Bad Leadership. Not Bad as in a Horrible Person, Bad as in Lazy id say.
Them trying to make extra money on something that's optional isn't an issue, it's optional.
Optional Yes, Trying to make money on it when other Devs make it a Free Feature, really shows how Money Hungry Bungie is. That they will Nickle and Dime anyway they can. Its like if a Store was selling an Apple for 50 Cents($2.50 for 5), but every other store was Selling 5 Apples for 1.50. Are you going to keep shopping at Store 1, or you going to shop at Store 2 Now?

Editado por whateverman7: 9/12/2023 9:10:24 PMA game that's older than destiny is going to have more gear, that's not a surprise. That wasn't the game op compared to. Which is all besides the point since i actually agreed with the suggestion that it should unlock when we get gear. Every company that makes a product you can buy is money hungry lol. I'm going to the store that I prefer no matter the cost of the apples. Not only that, if more things i buy are at store A, I'm not going to store B cause it has cheaper apples. We can get 10 transmog things per season, per character, for free by doing bounties. I think that is enough for the majority of the player base. Most are not changing ornaments so often that they need gear unlocked so soon. If you want more than that more often, you can buy more as an option. As long as it's optional and we still get the free ones, I'm cool with it.

I’m taking other games and comparing a system to that they have compared to Bungies and saying that bungies current system is bad in comparison to other titles. I’m not calling out the devs directly, I’m just stating that a change could be made that would benefit the community. They wouldn’t have to change that much in actuality, i.e. increasing the cap of the bounties.

You could've just said the last part without the other stuff, but doing that wouldn't have allowed you to take your indirect shots at bungie lol. I get it, you wanted to take some shots at bungie while suggesting a qol change, that's cool. I agreed with the suggestion, just not the shots, which is cool too.
