So, the exotic scout mission straight up sucks!
I said what I said and I meant it. No mini map, have to restart the entire deep dive when you inevitably fail, run around like a complete melt looking for the minotaurs, virtually impossible for us average players unless one or more of you run divinity and a ridiculous amount of health for the boss. Give us our map, highlight the minotaurs as soon as they spawn in and make other guns then div viable to kill the boss. This is just basic stuff bungie, pull your finger out and make your game FUN!

Can we also get a checkpoint from the boss so we don’t have to keep repeating the whole deep dive over and over again. Ran it 4 times and it’s a joke. Is it even worth the effort?

I have failed the mission 6 times now with various teams. Some of which consisted of some very highly skilled players (Guardian Rank 10+). Every time we have wiped or run out of time because we can’t locate the Minotaurs fast enough, and when you do find them then you have the shield guys booping the heck out of you and the boss coming up from behind. The modifiers make it damn near impossible too (chill touch and now attrition). Just a punishing level of crap for a very mid weapon.

I managed to get this done with some randos on LFG and somehow without mics. The missions is way worse than even the hardest raid encounters on master but it is very doable. We finished with, i think, 30 seconds left. The scout is trash and not worth the headache. But if you have OCD about collecting things, like me, it’ll bug the crap out of you until you do get it.

1 ResponderThe fact that you have to keep running deep dives and going through the motions each time is why I don’t plan to get the gun. Non of my friends are getting it either. I don’t mind it being hard, but I’m not willing to keep doing the deep dives to learn the encounter. It’s a hard pass for me and my group. It’s just lazy coding by Bungie.

I have completed it with randoms 2nd try and I also think it's absolute trash! Every single thing about it sucks. Awful in every way.

Yeah you're not kidding this is probably one of the worst exotic missions Bungie has ever made I wouldn't care if it was timed the fact that I have to go through a stupid deep dive over and over every time I fail is the most ridiculous thing ever

The minotaurs spawn in the 4 corners on the first meet. And if you can do enough damage they will spawn in the middle the 2nd phase

Yeah I have not had a good time with this mission so far. I've attempted this about 6 times with no success. LFG has been a pain and none of my friends are on lately due to life.

I ran this mission blind with my 56-Year old coworker Jay, and my girlfriend who plays the game so casually that half the time she dies constantly in normal strikes-- albeit we're both in the same room, and we did it literally on the first try, no wipe, with 1 minute and 16 seconds left on the timer. [u]Loadouts:[/u] Warlock (Me) Nova Bomb (Vortex) Malfaesence, Hollow Denial, Shattered Cipher Exotic Armor Piece: Chromatic Fire ----- Warlock (Girlfriend) Broodweaver The Navigator, Epochal Integration, Retrofit Escapade Exotic Armor Piece: Swarmers ----- Warlock (Coworker) Well of Radiance Malfaesence, IKELOS SMG, The Hothead(Adept). Exotic Armor Piece: Starfire Protocol -------------------- The Minotaurs at the end typically spawn 3 out of 4 times in the mazes corners, so tracking them usually wasn't extremely difficult, we would just run around the edges of the maze. I strongly recommend Child of the Old Gods + Magentic Grenade with Echo of Undermining, and if you have it, a 900 RPM Machine Gun as your heavy weapon. Tractor Cannon probably wouldn't hurt to try either.

The only problem is that it can’t b we accessed from orbit after you’ve attempted it once. All the rest of it is a skill issue. The “maze” isn’t even really a maze. It’s a square with a giant middle room. Will say it’s really hard to carry players through it. If you have an incompetent friend it is I hell to try to carry them through to get them the gun and title.

6 RespostasI have done it twice It's a piece of -blam!- gun, worst exotic in the game , your better off using unpowered melee on enemies than this peashooter F tier Bungie, absolute failure, worst trash in FPS history

Did it with 3 thunderlords and completely random use of supers during chaos, took 3 tries, save heavy for boss only, had grenade build on arc titan used mostly that and glave on all adds , ran with 2 random no mic, and so far I think the gun blows anyway

Doesn't seem to be a compelling reason to get the gun. Why bother?

I used retrofit escapade and others used a thunderlord and div - the boss is pretty much stun locked when you get going.
