This weekend trials was just so bad, it shouldn't be this difficult for a company with so much experience.

3 RespostasOk, wtf kind of matchmaking is it that y'all want so badly. They've literally changed and cycled through every possible matchmaking base, and you're STILL crying about it. Please explain what they should do, and exactly how to do it.
-
5 RespostasBecause create a proper MM for a game such as D2 is really problematic due the complex and multifaceted nature of the game itself and the heterogeneity of its population. Is simply something that can't be helped.

1 ResponderBungie lead-devs either don't know what algorithms are - or they don't know how to code/use them. There's no other explanation. And we see this across the board. Just look at PVE loot. RNG? LOL umm no, it's not.
-
It’s because everyone at Bungie is a complete moron. I loaded into a 1 vs 6 match the other day because of their extreme incompetence. Make no mistake, Bungie ONLY cares about how much money you give them…
-
Peer to peer connectivity rather than having dedicated servers they would have a chance at managing properly, including anti - cheat. But servers will never be happening so is is what it is. Yup , shame.

4 Respostas2 words. They don't care.

PVP was built on garbage, outdated, and highly exploitable architecture. bungLe lost what little pvp talent they had. No playtesting in the real sense of what a decent software developer would call playtesting. Matchmaking is best for bungLe when the largest number of players have to play more matches to grind out whatever while still good for streamers to show a bountiful amount of pub-stomping.

2 Respostas
This weekend trials was just so bad, it shouldn't be this difficult for a company with so much experience.
3 reasons. 1. Proper PvP matchmaking would require the good players to play other good players, and the good players want b roll for YouTube videos that make them look like heroes, not competitive games where they pull out clutch victories. 2. Poor matchmaking has inflated the egoes of a lot of a lot of otherwise mediocre players and their fragile self esteems can't handle finding out that they, in fact, are only slightly above or slightly below average. 3. Because PvP has been garbage for so long, a LOT of active players don't go in there sans for seasonal challenges, bounties, and the occasional weapon farm. The population isn't healthy or consistent enough for good matchmaking. 4. Since no bounties, seasonal challenges, or weapon farming require wins, and many of them require you to equip something from outside the meta, many players go in not giving a crap what their KD is, or their win %, or even wanting to play by the rules of the game mode, which ruins it for other players. This game's PvP has always been crafted like a carnival game. Most serious PvP games have way different things that encourage players to do well, and to seek to play other players who do well. In a good PvP game, you play for prestige and rank. In this game, they favor lopsided games so it looks good on YouTube and Twitch. All the serious PvP players gave moved on to real PvP games, and all that's left here are people who favor the lopsided games that make them look good. That's never going away. Bungie painted themselves into a corner that they can never get out of.

If you’re too young to remember then let me remind you that Bungie have never, ever, cared about PvP. Watch interviews about developing Halo or Marathon. They make fun PvE games first! PvP in Halo:CE was a last minute afterthought addition. Destiny was not meant to have PvP but Activision forced them too because of CoD and their lack of ability to market anything that isn’t CoD. There is a very blatant reason that only 10-11% of daily players play crucible and that’s because the other 90% of us are actually playing the game and not being part of the problem. This is a looter shooter. You want balanced PvP? Then piss off to CoD.

3 RespostasGo woke, go broke ...

4 RespostasRemember when you entered halo 3's multiplayer menu and push X to bring up advanced matchmaking options to prioritise certain things like skill, connection and microphones? Good Times.

Editado por BEAST: 5/18/2023 7:51:32 AMThe player base if people don't play its gonna be harder plus why u got no peaking on u doing something slim shady then again u uh .8 🤖

27 RespostasEditado por Meow Fairy: 5/17/2023 11:53:15 AMBecause they tried to cater to cry babies too much. Trials should have stayed card based with fireteam size balancing (not facing a 3 stack against 3 solos) Nothing less nothing more No Bs sKiLl BaSeD MaTcHmAkInG that is just not working especially in a game where skill = what weapon/build you are using on top of the thousands of account recoveries having biaised stats.

Its the warlock main crying again

Editado por Kord: 5/18/2023 1:48:31 AMIt is a problem without a solution that will make everyone happy. They need to decide who is their main target audience for pvp and make matchmaking work for that group. Pure connection random matchmaking for the hardcore pvp players that only want the best connections and may the best players win SBMM for the people that want a casual relaxed pvp game where they can expect to win as often as they lose You will never make both these groups happy and if you make different modes for both groups then the one that favors the greater number of players will quickly be the only one active with players. Personally I like the current system better because I'm in the lower skill bracket and so can get decent connections and can get bounties done with just a few matches. Instead of the old system where it would take way too long to get enough kills because like half my matches ended in mercy where I was lucky to get 1 kill
-
2 RespostasEditado por High Charity: 5/17/2023 5:48:34 PMBungie is hellbent on using SBMM with peer to peer. I don't know why the Randy's here thought that would lead to better connections.

The company may have experience recognition wise. But the people developing the game probably don’t. They hire new people all the time. And I’m pretty sure some of those people have never worked on a game before.
-
1 Responderthey need to remove duo queue, I think its makes it so bad for 3 player team. You either queue solo or as 3.
-
2 RespostasThe problem is they keep trying to fix problems for the bottom % and I’ll give it to them it’s good that they are trying but the system was better before fireteam based match making and it was better with card based matchmaking. They are just going to continue to try but it won’t make the game better for bad players it will just make it worse for everyone.
-
Neither can they.

Nobody is playing the game the last 3 or 4 weeks of the season. If you want to do something in PvP better do it early all you get playing the last few weeks are the players who started late and players who only like to play destiny. So PvP would be awfull as its mostly the good players who play pvp all the time left and you prob will match them.
-
Because all these years people have been paying without the fix
