Anyone else notice that every recent Bungie video has had comments disabled? This is the clear sign of a company that knows their consumers are unhappy, but are too fragile to accept criticism.
Yes, some of that criticism is unhelpful, irresponsibly personal, and unnecessary, but eliminating voices doesn't help inspire confidence in a fan base.

They don't care about criticism, it's the death threats and bigotry in the comments. Josh Deane, the franchise lead even said so in his Twitter post. "Honestly, we’ll never turn off comments for criticism. Regardless of whether it’s considered ‘shifty’ or not. Love feedback positive or negative. Will always shut interaction down if anyone personally attacks anyone on the team re: their work or who they are. Zero tolerance." If you watched the first vidocs for lightfall when they came out the comments were a cesspool of personal attacks towards the devs for being trans, NB, etc.

2 RespostasRemoving a persons tongue does not prove them wrong, it just proves you fear what they have to say.
-
1 ResponderI don't understand why people only start to realize it just now. Bungie is and always has been a tone deaf hypocritical bunch of stubborn, greedy ####. Especially the clowns who keep emphazising that they are "listening" to feedback are the ones who in reality do not at all. An actual good dev who actually listens lets their community feel that by actions rather than false promises. Literally the most fake company i've come across EVER. They are way too busy with PR bs, politics and fake equality pr and forgot how to make quality and fun games instead. (Which should be their main focus)
-
3 RespostasYou hit the nail on the head. Bungie currently reminds me of a child with fingers stuck in their ears going "lalalalalalalalala" sad to see how far they have fallen and how dismissive they are of genuine player concerns.
-
1 ResponderWhat i'm seeing is that they know how bad they are performing and even after that they just deny to change. This is what happens when you just ignore your customers.
-
Would you enable comments if you were them? They just released a half-baked expansion that doesn’t live up to the trailers after they said ‘we’re listening’ to stop the tsunami of pre-order cancellations. (Not that I played Lightfall but I’ve seen the reviews and read the forums). Easy to understand them hiding after what they did.
-
1 ResponderI don’t think it had to do with criticism. I think the worst part of the player base was harassing some of the developers in the LGBT community.
-
I found it funny that they had it off.
-
Is the new way to do things. You don't like what the opposite side has to say. Just shut them up. You can see this from colleges to the government to businesses

20 Respostas
Yes, some of that criticism is unhelpful, irresponsibly personal, and unnecessary, but eliminating voices doesn't help inspire confidence in a fan base.
Hey, you got it right there. Vocal gamers are some of the worst people to give any kind of platform to Past few weeks I've seen people -blam!- their collective diaper over a real person and a fictional person using they/them pronouns. I've seen someone literally threaten Devs over Lost Sector difficulty If I'm a business, these are not the people I want on my more public facing platforms

5 RespostasMore like some bad apples are very tran s phobic and Bungie is protecting their employees. Sad that people just cant be themselves without others being horrible to them.
-
5 RespostasIt’s most likely they don’t want the toxic and hateful comments. I remember hearing back before Lightfall that devs at Bungie would get harassed and got sent death threats. So yeah I kinda don’t blame them for Turing off comments.
-
Bungie, as well as their mods and Ninja's are more than willing to dish out the stuff we don't want to hear, but they can't handle any reciprocation. It's pretty sad, as that is the state of this world where they can't even accept criticism but they'll kowtow to the elite's the likes of Saltagreppo who doesn't speak for anybody but himself.
-
It's the toxicity.
-
6 RespostasYou do realize they came out and flat out said, criticism is not the problem, either good or bad criticism they dont care. The problem is the toxic and mor@nic members of the d2 community have been attacking devs directly with hateful comments. Especially devs part of the LGBTQ+ community. So Please, if you see them disable something, it's for good reason.
-
5 RespostasNo. It's because of trolls and serial moaners aka basement dwellers.
-
9 RespostasIt’s not criticism. It’s pure toxicity! Getting personal , pronoun politics….just gutter trash people letting the community down . No one wants it or deserves it!
-
1 ResponderIt's unfortunate that the community has a thing for harassing Bungie and each-other. Twitter mongrels love acting like petty, miserable people to anyone they see. It's understandable to why Bungie turned off comments, people can't learn to see reality to where they're acting like brats.
-
If certain members of the community had decency then this wouldn't be a problem. It's the few bad actors who take what should've been constructive feedback and decide to instead hide behind their keyboard and make death threats and toxic comments that cause stuff like this.
-
-
6 RespostasNo it probably has something to do with the death threats and harassments that y’all keep confusing with valid criticism.
-
4 Respostas"We're listening." - Bungie, with comments disabled

1 ResponderBurying head in the sand as usual
-
They always pick and choose what they hear. That's why, they never poll or ask anything on this website. They know the response will not be positive. It's sad that this website/resource is completely ignored by Bungo.

I think I get what you are saying but I don’t agree that comments and overall criticism should be available on every platform. The dev videos on YouTube are a great example. In my experience and opinion, there is a platform specific crowd on YouTube that are not interested in the same way that bnet and Reddit are. Honestly that is one of the things that is contributing to my own burnout. I don’t think I should have to keyword exclude movie, show and now video game reviews and critique. I’m not saying that we should bury our heads in the sand and ignore everything. It is just too easy to come here, Twitter, discord, Reddit, Facebook and even Tumblr to find various discussions on the game. As a final manslplain, I know I should “ring the bell for notifications” but I don’t, so I end up seeing Cheeseforever too late because my Destiny tray is full of angry hot takes that are exhausting and then I miss out on armor farms and the like. So if I just want to watch the dev video and appreciate the craft and artists I should be allowed to do so, but also it would be nice to say good job on that architecture, but the comments are just full of “fix ur blamin gam bungo “. None of this is to say that you can’t or should not nor is it to say your criticism in invalid.

1 ResponderFor us This DLC felt like a season filler for most of us It felt like a regular season but we had access to all the weekly missions immediately. We went from WQ to this tho..WQ was amazing..This was not and for me, it had nothing to do with the Nimbus character
