Tired of Overly negative gamers
You know who you are. Silent when something is ok but screaming on top of a mountain at the first opportunity to be negative.
I can’t play with gamers like this. I instantly leave parties where the moaning and groaning is non stop.
Here’s examples:
“Of course, 5th legs drop today, bungo game is trash”
“I hate GMs, such a slog, I can’t stand champions”
“Content is recycled, bungo is lazy”
“I got weaseled, this game is trash”
“SBMM is ruining games, bungo is trash”
“I want more, I want less, I want diff, I want the same, I want this to be brought back, I don’t want this to be recycled”
It’s cool to have grievances and bring them up in a constructive way but man….. some gamers in party chat are just no fun to be around.
if I’m LFGing for a GM or whatever and all u do is complain, ur getting booted, I didn’t sit down after a long day of work where colleagues and customers are b!Tching and moaning just to hear a gamer do the same.
seriously, If the game is that negative for you, why do you keep playing?
News flash: it isn’t cool to be negative. I’ve confronted quite a few players in parties about this and they usually say “my bad dude, I’m just used to everyone complaining so I thought I’d do the same” and then all of a sudden most realize it’s so much better to focus on the positives while acknowledging the negatives and providing constructive feedback.
Here’s a better way, “I don’t love X but how about if they did Y, wouldn’t that be cool AF?”
This is what I teach new comers into business, don’t complain to management unless you have 2-3 ideas to fix the problem.

Editado por Reventón: 12/25/2022 6:52:56 AMalright, so im gonna break this down for you in the nicest way i possibly can. be it excessive or very limited, people are going to express their grievances about the current state of this game, and for good reason. i understand that you as a person who just wants to enjoy the game for what it is, are tired of constant negativity wherever you take yourself. however, you cannot discredit [i]anybody[/i] for being nearly as vocal as the people you’ve encountered. we’ve been playing the same game for years, and have watched it become considerably more unstable as said years have passed. from recycled content, error codes, -blam!- rng giving people pinnacles in slots they didnt need them in, progress hindering bugs, all the way to airborne effectiveness and skill based matchmaking (again, by the way) — people ultimately have just had enough. people continue to crap all over the game and badmouth it whilst playing because they want to be able to [i]enjoy[/i] some part of destiny 2, but struggle to do so. it’s like a horrible addiction. with that said, i can’t blame you for feeling the way you do. it’s tiring. i’m very vocal about this game to my friends, and despite the many things i whine about, i throw myself back into the parts of the game that frustrate me in hopes of finding the enjoyment that was once afforded to me before several unwarranted changes. looking at you airborne effectiveness, slide nerfs, and high impact pulse rifle buff. the reason people constantly become even more negative toward the game, and hardly provide meaningful solutions to the problems they have, is because bungie has shown that they are consistently unwilling to listen to feedback. they either make severe overcorrections, or underdeliver on some changes based on usage rates alone. what do you expect from people?

There is no need for champions it's just lazy on bungies part only makes things more annoying not harder. season 19 is just a reskin so valid complaints imo about reskinned content.

I can't remember who said it (I think a well-respected leader on the lines of Mandela probably), but it goes something like this... The first step in getting things right is to admit something is wrong. These forums are open for both positive and negative criticism. Negative criticism is often ignored by Bungie on these forums, and this frustrates a lot of gamers, which degrades the language. This is nothing different from other bad reviews on other forums like Amazon, Disqus, etc. This game tries to be a lot of things to a lot of people and fails a lot of times (maybe?. Average Joe has no other forum to vent our their frustration other than this platform. Your business analogy may be correct for quantifiable problems, but entertainment is not one of them. We, as a community, don't have the data to propose a solution, so all we can do is to make bungie aware of the problem. A better analogy would be climate change. Every young person blames boomers for global warming, but you can't expect a 10yo to provide a solution for de-carbonisation. Yet, this shouldn't stop them from complaining about climate crisis as it is what it is. Right? It's up to the people with knowledge and data to come up with a solution or a compromise and explain it to the ones without. Bungie doesn't do any of this because they are in entertainment business, which means they are not obligated to provide meaningful response to any complaint due to the nature of gaming industry business transaction. Negativity is a trend, and if there is a lot of it, then there is probably an underlying valid feedback for Bungie to explore. Just a polite feedback 😊

[/quote] Okay, I have a question. What if we've actively complained to management, providing examples on how to fix an issue, and management still fails to fix the issue? Because there have been entire thesis papers written about how to fix Destiny and course correct this ship, but Bungie seems to actively do the opposite of what would make the players happy. I get what you're saying, but behind every complainer is a guy or gal who liked the idea of Destiny, and found themselves burned by Bungie.

People complain because the game has potential that is not being lived up to at all. In fact, that is their plan. Most of it is warranted.

Honestly, you should thank the people speaking out about the recycling of assets in this game. While it is too late to save the Destiny Franchise in my opinion, we need to show other game companies we will not support this lazy and predatory practice. Sunsetting was supposed to allow for more fresh content and faster debugging of issues. The bugs are still running rampant and the sunset areas and gear are showing back up as seasonal time-gated chores that aren't any better than the original content they were stripped out of. If you let companies take away the content you pay for, just to recycle it and sell it back to you, they will do it. It barely costs any development resources to copy/paste a half-assed story mission when you recycle all the visuals and pay for a bit of new voice acting.

Most of the replies missed this part of what was said. "Party chat". OP never said forums. With that said... I'm a 52 year old guy that never played D1. I'll wait for people to regain consciousness... Are ya back? With me now? Ok, I started playing D2 when Season of Plunder was 1½ weeks from ending, so yes, I'm a newbie noob. I haven't even figured out all the anagrams yet. LFG? KWTD? And to boot... I'm a F2P player. But I do know how games work. Farming, grinding, paying for upgrades/extras, etc. It's all the same (mostly) that there's going to be a grind of some kind to get the items you need or want. Dismantling/forging/trading (yes trading... planetary resources for glimmer for one) has been a constant in numerous RPGs. And unfortunately, there's the constant of complainers having to do so. Fact check - if you bought everything available from EV, would that finish your "to do" list and not have to grind for materials? No. Would it make you the best player ever? No (Some will argue and say yes because it's their nature to do so). Look, there's not enough server space to list every point, pro and con, of this game. No 2 people feel the same, play the same, have the same goals in mind, etc. Someone's always gonna be the squeaky wheel in the machine of team. But to complain about "normal" things in a game? Things most everyone whos played RPGs already expects? If this game was supposed to be a cake walk, I'd be sharing the top of the podium with potentially millions of other ppl playing here. Hate grinding? Play something else. Hate bosses being too tough? Change your tactics. Just don't bring your negativity into a PARTY CHAT as the OP posted. Look for groups looking for help that have all that stuff listed as ok to do, join them, and do all your bashing there. Team leaders set the bar/rules for what's ok and not. If someone is doing the nots, why should the leader get flack for removing them from team/party chat? That's all. I'm done. Have fun. And for God's sake... Don't get the quest's boss's attention if your not ready to shoot it's eyes out. I forgot to add fuel to this fire... Have y'all seen a tree lately? I mean, a real live tree. Like outside. In the real world. You know, the place that exists outside of D2? Lmao yes I'm being sarcastic. And serious, sadly. The more I read the more I realize a few peeps here (in forums) seem to have D2 running thru their veins. Been a fanboy/fangirl since D1 day 1. Take some time off. Talk to your relatives, or your RL friends. Co-workers don't count... They're really robots disguised as people to grow the income rate for the multimillion dollar company that employed you.

I myself have been guilty of this , one thing doesn't go your way and you feel the desire to trash the rest of the game And Bungie is not perfect, but they go out of there way to make stuff for us, and we Trash them because it's not exactly what we wanted, but if they didn't care about D2 or its players, they wouldn't put anymore of there lives into it, Sony pretty much made them set for life, they could retire and buy a nice condo on the beach(Until Sony Starts Developing GOW online) and could listen to waves hitting sand instead of a salty crucible players complaining about everything that kills them, or some no life who wants an emblem for everything I am just going to start being more positive in general, the -blam!- we complain about is pathetic, whatever you don't get is not has important has what you got Thank You Bungie, for everything you have done for your community since Combat Evolved, I am sorry for all the unhelpful feedback and petty gripes I have made, or might make again in the future, just know that you have made something so special it makes people passionate, nobody would be salty or upset about a game they didn't care about And to all future immature responses to my post, like telling me to stop blowing them, grow up man,if only you knew how much I don't care

Sounds like you're more unpleasant than them. This game requires you to play like it's a chore wheel every week. Some people resent that every time they get on their friends will make them feel like they have to team up with them or they're letting them down. Doesn't leave much room for game enjoyment. You're probably new and you only want to team up to do everything.

Well you picked the wrong video game and definitely the wrong developer of said video game to play and support if you want to dodge negativity. Well it's not like we are constantly complaining without a reason and the game is actually good you know? When theres such an overwhelming amount of negative feedback, my guy, that should make your little brain cells think. SHOULD. This game is in shambles, this developer doesn't care about the game anymore and has stopped supporting it with competent manpower and effort. It's breathing its last breath with 1 or 2 DLC's left that are developed by some junior devs with zero experience until their new games currently in development are ready to be released. Everyone can feel it, you should feel it, Bungie knows it. Throw your rose tinted glasses away and stop attacking the victims for expressing their thoughts on a formerly triple a awesome quality game that's been turned into pure garbage.

I get this in trials teams. Complaining every time they’re killed get back seat gaming when you’re doing a 3v1.

I played with someone quite a bit who was always claiming to be one shot or sniped with weapons that can’t do that and in year 1 of D2 I had to ban him from saying MIDA Multi Tool cos he wouldn’t shut up complaining about it. I don’t miss those days
