The COMP Division should have at least a few rewards
Should allow the mode to have an exotic once you reach a specific rank that everyone could meet in time.
Could implement some older sunset weapons that are currently in Collections.
I am not talking about Luna’s Howl or Mountaintop.
Old Trials of the Nine or Trials of Osiris weapons could be added.
Bring back ritual weapon that are designed around vendors.
Use what you have in COLLECTIONS that is considered more balance and add Origin Traits and random rolls to them.
Collections is such an underutilized concept for D2, it is saddening and I believe updating it as the name implies would do wonders to the game.
Make enemy theme ornaments or weapons.
Your content is already established and all it takes is for you recognized the effort you have put into the core systems that are lacking in improvements to help make the new content flourish with it.
Dont let a few bad apples dictate nor kill off this game being a looter shooter. This game thrives off of fun and rewards for effort and difficulty.
This game is unique so let it breathe as such.
Here is some information:
Factions and planetary weapons that were never introduced:
Moon Weapons: Missing a sidearm, trace rifle, linear fusion, glaive, bow, rocket launcher, breech grenade launcher and scout rifle.
Europa: Missing a breech grenade launcher, hand cannon, linear fusion, sniper, submachine gun, trace rifle, scout rifle, glaive, and sword.
Ikelos: Missing a sidearm, grenade launchers, sword, linear fusion, glaive, scout rifle, pulse rifle, trace rifle, machine gun, rocket launcher, fusion rifle, and a bow.
These are just a few pieces of content that can be added but instead of asking for these, we keep using “CANNOT” and “WILL NOT”.
Do we want this game to be a looter shooter or not.

1 ResponderCosmetic rewards only, there are so many powerful weapons I don’t need any more. You have some good ideas though. I don’t play PVP but really looking forward to the implementation.

6 RespostasNope Doesn't need any weapon tied to it for being certain ranks This is what made comp bad toxic and full of abuse You will get the rose hand cannon for just playing the mode(one per character per week) and after/during light fall cosmetic reward will be added which is what a comp mode need to have as rewards

I think this first season should just be an emblem that keeps track of your rank… Lightfall and beyond should be cosmetics only. I’m not good enough to go flawless but man that ship is dope and I would rock it for the rest of d2 if I got it but we already know what happen with pinnacle weapons just for really good players.

Maybe an exclusive emblem, aura glow, emote, shader. Idk if they should do weapons again. We saw what happened last time.

3 RespostasI was excited for the comp changes until I saw it had no rewards lol. It'll get the same amount of playtime from me as gambit... maybe less. Beating your head against the table to simply beat your head against the table isn't it... I can barely justify doing that for trials and it has rewards 🙄

2 RespostasGetting special super strong weapons - Not Forgotten and alike - and tie them to the upper echelons of this new rank system might become problematic (again). But ornaments, shaders, ships, emblems whatever cosmetic rewards tied to for instance Platinum and above I see no issues. The best deserve to show their achievements in public.

1 ResponderYeah I don't understand why they will be capping rose at 1 a week per character when it should be dropping in the playlist and if you get to a certain point in the rankings it drops as adept it would go a long way in my opinion this would be a good enough reward for me to stay in

1 ResponderWe are back at Vanilla, where there are no incentives to do harder content, why sweat for Adept Weapons when enhanced normal weapons are better Why grind to the highest comp rank for a number to display that 90% of other players won't care about I am decent to bot level in PvP(depending on how much I care at the time), but there should be a substantial reward at the top, An Exotic Evolution Of Not Forgotten, Recluse or Revoker, or yes even the Mountain Top, do you know why people hate those weapons , because they got killed by them, the same damn reason they want everything nerfed , so bring on the power creep, let them cry, they are going to regardless! Give players who dedicated time and most of there sanity to reach a goal be rewarded , and stop this "Everyone is special" insanity , it's going to kill this game, again!!

2 RespostasHot take: Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten can probably comeback with magnificent howl and be fine. The perk itself had been heavily neutered before being sunset, and with Austringer being a craftable weapon, and the introduction other handcannons with better perk pools and better stats, they will definitely be used, but not the best of legendary handcannons. Honestly, most of the pinnacle weapons could come back. Loaded Question is just a worse Plug One.1 or Glacialcasm. 21% Delirium is good, but so is the King’s Fall machine gun that can get a better perk combination. The outliers are obviously The Mountaintop and Recluse, and they probably can’t come back without being nerfed further or reworked in some way.

3 RespostasDon’t remember who it was but someone suggested a legend ornament for the current seasonal crucible weapon (ex. Out of Bounds this season) that drops at Ascendant. Add an emblem for reaching Plat, Adept, and Ascendant (new one each year) Shader for arching Adept. Weapon Mementos drop for your first 3 wins each week at ascendant. Idk, just some easy ideas that I would never be good enough to actually earn. I’m content to just compete and get a good roll on Rose.
