Im not a content creator, not even a top tier pvp player and hate sbmm. Sbmm people are the most delusional bunch I swear. You are literally demanding that the game should adapt to your -blam!- skill lvl because you dont want to put the time in to get better like those players that stomped you before sbmm. People have to deal with trash connections and unplayable matches because a bunch of you started crying how you are getting bullied in a video game. You are pathetic.

Fact is, the top sports teams around the world use SBMM to form teams. Every grade/middle/ high school teams all use SBMM to form teams and divisions. College teams all play against other teams in a similar division… SBMM. Here, you CBMM guys want the Christmas noobs who have no skills thrown into games with the pros, who have every carefully crafted gun, every mod, every piece of meta gear, and have spent years learning every nook and cranny of every map. That’s not defendable.

This is in the context that the rewards in the real world make it so that the best play each other. Destiny segregates us by skill but thinks it is ok to reward everyone the same.

No one would pit pros against the weak the way CBMM does. Imagine if high school athletics or the Olympics were run with CBMM mentality (pitting pros against the weak)…

Again, the rewards for winning in those brackets are different. That’s why it works. In Destiny it rewards you the same even those casuals play in a different field than other players. This is why there’s no longer a point in playing control. I would rather play trials and elim when I feel like it.

I play for the entertainment value and the challenge - like I did in high school sports or mil rifle competition.

That adds no value to this conversation. Control can be a quickplay mode for recreation. No stats, no rewards, no bounties. You can even make it sbmm so it can be a place for players to get a footing into destiny pvp, but I don’t think it will matter either way. Comp should have a ranking system that rewards the players that put in the time and effort into pvp Trials needs to stay the same, but just maybe add a way for players to get regular loot that doesn’t feel like they are suffering too much. Just know I’m thinking of the overall health of pvp for destiny. You just look at the one surface “problem” you have because you claim to play for only entertainment and challenge when you don’t actually play the challenging side of pvp enough to become a better player. If you honestly cared about the challenge, your season stats would be climbing slowly up.

Age, however, gives me perspective, which has and does improve. It doesn’t take a genius to know that destroying weaker players in cbmm games doesn’t improve skill either… or character.

On the other hand you didn’t say your age. Therefore, my statement stands. It’s a challenge not to go backwards at my age. So, my statement stands. I enjoy the challenge. I don’t know what you want for an answer… However, my primary argument against cbmm is the gross unfairness of it. Name a sport where rank beginners, thumbless average players, or even old people have to face professional players…

I question your age wanting a comeback at all. If my grandfather was still alive, he would be 103 this coming February. I do have one thing to ask. What sport has armatures go against amateurs only, pros play against pros, and in the end both brackets get the same exact prize? This is what is happening in Destiny. Comp was watered down so much because ppl can’t take losing in a game and that matched you based on skill. In the end, comp holds no value and now trials is getting watered down. Ppl in here don’t want a challenge. If you want a safe space in the pvp mode, just have it be a training grounds and remove all rewards.

That’s why I said “probably”. 103 huh? I don’t suspect I’ll make it there either. Armatures against amateurs? I don’t like spell checkers… I don’t have an argument with you about rewards. I’ve posted here before saying that the top players playing the toughest games should get better rewards. Me personally, I’d be happy getting XP and a little glimmer. I like playing PvP just for the challenge (at my age) of playing others around my skill level. It’s easy to figure this out. Comp getting watered down… Doesn’t really affect me. I used to play some trials and 3v3 in D1, don’t anymore. People were always way too serious about it. Besides, every reward people look for (WILL) eventually go away via nerfs, sunsetting, or the next game. I had about 60k PvP kills in D1. I’ve only got about 12k in D2, because I quit PvP because of cbmm in every 6v6. I’d like to play more, but…

And? Anything above 2% is not impressive. The game takes into account pretty much everyone who at some point played a couple pvp matches. This game has more than 10mil players that played at some point since launch of D2, but only like 10% of players still play daily. Its really ez to be top 5% when 90% of the total playerbase have not logged in since year 1. The fact that I have to explain this to you tells me that you are someone who has very little knowlege of how pvp environment works and should bbe handled.
