Are you sure about that? Expensive in dev times is generally in relation to manpower lost that could be spent on other things. Bungie has obnoxious spaghetti code that makes it a pain to do much of anything that requires large amounts of connected through points. You’re looking at a team of 5-6 guys all working on this for an entire season just trying to make sure it all works and the hidden-ness doesn’t f everything up. I spent 5 hours today debugging code and I’m 99% sure mine is way less complex than Destiny in its entirety. And it’s literally just referring to their ability to keep stuff 100% hidden in the patch so people can’t datamine it. The only mission that has fully met that standard was Whisper, Outbreak was in the api the week it dropped.
