Max light level requires insane playtime, people who don't play enough are automatically gatekept from endgame content

I for one can't remember the last GM I ever did. Not because I don't want to, not because I don't have anyone to play with, not because the loot sucks, but purely because I don't play the game enough. At the end of the day, I'd rather boot up Stuart Little on PS2 than a game of gambit for a duplicate pinnacle.

You guys decide to play Destiny2, a looter shooter(that means that is a game based on loot) and complain about the grinding for the 1% of the game that is "gatekeeped". Don't want to complain about new players or people who don't have much time, I just want to explain the current system and why something like this is necessary for endgame content: If everything is free from the first days of a new season, with the actual poor content and loot, the season will end in a few weeks and no one will play the game until the next season(that is what's is occurring right now, but it's ok because we are in the end of the season). Grinding is a crucial part of this game, keeps people playing the game, searching for their favorite roll, or grinding to craft the weapon they desired. Endame,as the word says, is a part of the game accessible by the people that reach this level of game, imagine a new light joining a GM without any idea of what to do, without a strategy, without a team that explains him what to do, in the worst of cases even without knowing the champions mod system and the artifact mod system, it would occur in a bad experience for everyone. This will be even worse in trials, where a new player will be immediately destroyed by a stak of experienced players. This will result in most of cases on the new player leaving the game. Who wants really to play GM and trials need to accept the fact that needs MORE EFFORT(nothing about skill or amount of hours played, just EFFORT) than usual gameply, if you don't want, just don't do it, it's not mandatory for the progress in game. Also I suggest you to find a group, some activities need a fireteam, you can't pretend to do something solo or with matchmaking, without any communication(this is the case of really low percentage of people that have years of experience). What really needs the game right now are a couple of quests each season, with medium level difficulty, that explains a bit how the game works and at the same time gives you unique loot(like the old pinnacle weapons), differentiating the current extremely boring, and useless in my opion, repetitive system(no one enjoys to repeat ketchrash, then expedition, and then a "tutorial level" bossfight every reset and wait for the next week) We need also more loot, especially good loot, because the current pool of GM's and trials is useless and doesn't have any unique weapon, perk, or perk combo that you can find only there and will keep people grinding to reach that level and giving it a try. Adept version are pretty the same thing, especially in PVE, where the unique adept mod is the big ones spec, that's why these activities have a very poor playerbase every week. In conclusion, doing a resume, leave endgame activities where they are because it's not gatekeeping, it's keeping the game alive for 3 months every season. If you want to reach that level put some effort instead of complaining. The game is currently easier than ever, every activity is more accessible than in the past, but no one plays the game because there is not an incentive to play it, that's the real fact. And let me say that, the current situation is not streamer's or elitist's fault or Bungie gatekeeping, is casual's fault complaining for everything and the fact that Bungie actually listen a lot to casuals and restricted a lot the gap between a casual and a veteran, resulting in a boring game for both sides(Airborne effectiveness, zero pvp quests, no secret missions, no more exotic quests, movement nerf, crafted weapons that needs only to complete the raid once a week and they are stronger that adept ones, poor loot pool in endgame activities, repetitive gameplay)
